From looking at his feed, looks like tonight was the start of a contact period of sorts for the 2018 class. He said something along the lines of "find out who really wants you" based on who contacts you at midnight. Tweeted a Tennessee pic as well just before the one linked above.
Yep, September 1st is the start of the contact period for the 2018 class. I'm sure many in the 2018's will be posting similar pics.
It'll be interesting to see how our staff does with the 2018 class..

Well, that's the wrong Block I, wrong B1G logo, and thats our old field.
The quality of these materials has really shot up with the new football recruiting staff (who have a full time in-house graphics guy now). But you're right, you'd like to ace the little things like that and maintain your brand standards.
The question of whether a full-house crowd shot with our current field actually exists is an open one though.

What's wrong with the B1G logo? Because it's all one color?
Isn't it the new Block I with the white border?
Overall, I think they are doing a great job.
Possibly! That wouldn't exactly be great graphic design, but it would pass the #RebrandFAIL Police

Beat me to it, haha. Block I need the blue border on a white background.
I think theyre doing a good job too, but its the little stuff.

Actually, I think the white border works in this case. Adding blue would probably stick out too much when the focus should be on Griffith. I guess I'd have to see it, though.

Got it, thanks. Now that logo would look better (in orange, of course).
We have a single-color version of the logo. It's the outer silhouette version with square corners, not rounded ones.
Little things, but little things matter.
Guys... lets get it together for a second. A 5 star recruit - son of a former Illini all time great - re-tweeted an Illini photo edit and we're arguing about whether or not the logo is correct.
Can we talk about how big of a statement it would be to get Houston Griffith instead?

I really don't care about logos etc at all. But it bothers me when they say-

So everyone has their own things that grate on them. I think any of them would be fine to get the player. They just want the correct lettering used.

We have fans throw the s at the end of the Alma Mater, so we have no room to talk.
Logos and brands will take a while to catch on and it has a lot to do with the fact that our logo really only changed style.

I no longer let things like tweet of a kid in a schools uniform blow up my skirt. To many guys just enjoy the attention. Turning around in a short period of time to do something to excite a different school. Love to have him but need something more concrete to go oh boy.

Just tuned in and it's 35-25 with 7 minutes left in the first half. Okay then.
Most likely eligible for a 5th year transfer as long as his academics are on track. I'm curious if he is eligible for a medical redshirt for last year? If so, he can transfer to Ilinois and start next two seasons while Coach McGee develops Cam Thomas.
With the incompetence of the previous staff and recruiting misses, this roster has talent and speed. Lovie will recruit even better, I wouldn't be surprised if a big name switches to Illinois. One thing Illnois has done over the last 10 years is send high quality D-line to the pros.
