Just got around to Phillips highlight tape since we appear to have a shot. ATH-LETE

Mike Hughes (CB) who is also at Garden City. He is a former UNC player although I have no idea if he would be an early enrollee and he has not visited us.

He hasn't visited us either? Lots of other JUCO offers out there and Lawson came as a total surprise, so who knows?

Phillips would be the most logical player who would sign today.

Everyone on twitter is saying "expected". So it's not official yet.

Please don't get people's hopes up with a chance it may not happen.

I'm trying to hold my excitement back until we get the official word.

With the way our WR class is looking, I think they may have gone a different direction. A class of Smalling and Green, with the hopeful additions of Roberson and Thomas should mean that we are not forced to look for JUCO WRs. I think many of our HS wideouts will have the opportunity not only to start, but also succeed as freshman.

Out with one athletically gifted Phillips and in with another. Major boost to next year squad if he plays up to his tape.
Regarding juco's Bugg committed to Ala, Boykin and Nixon has shown no real interest in coming.
Db Hughes, Te Williams, and Bagner remain as the best likelihoods for what that is worth.

Still haven't seen any official word yet.......man this is exactly what I was worried about. Reporters jump to things and now we are not hearing anything official.

It's been 3 hours...I understand that we have a history of being let down as Illini fans, but have some patience, please. If he doesn't announce by tomorrow, I'll be worried. Until then there is no reason for us to think that it isn't going to happen.
