6.4 ypc on 123 career rushes and 5 TDs at OU, grad transfer. 2 KR TDs, 53 returns. Not much of a pass catcher (11 rec). Has been an All American as a kick returner (2014, 2nd team).

Illinois has as much to offer Ross as any other school I would think. We have 1 RB with extensive experience. We have A LOT of seniors. A LOT. And we play in the BIG West which is wide open. Also, there is the whole Lovie Smith and coaching staff thing going for us.

I like our chances.

It's easy to look at it from our POV and think we have an attractive situation to offer, but he may be looking for entirely different things. I haven't heard anything of a list of schools he's looking at, yet. Sounds like Mizzou leads based on a brief twitter search

When it's us against the field, always take the field, unless you have inside info. Having Lovie and company is a total game changer, but not so much as to change the aforementioned rule of thumb.

Lovie and staff will be in Texas June 8th with one of their Satellite camps. June 8th in Lancaster TX. Quick Twitch Football Camp for 10th-12th graders.

Now that is an interesting target. Does anyone know anything about him? His 247 / ESPN page have him unranked. I also don't see other offers, just "interest".

Marian Catholic is usually a pretty solid program.

Marian Catholic was 1-8 last year. They were terrible, and he had no help. Very athletic player, one of the best athletes in the state.

You're probably thinking of Marian Central Catholic in Woodstock which is a perennial football powerhouse.

At Nike Combine, newly #illini offered QB Quincy Patterson measured at 6-3, 219 and ran a 4.70 40 in bad conditions. Strong arm too.

Could be one of those kids that becomes a WR or DB in the end. Lots of success stories of QB's shifting to other positions.
