Something to consider.

5* DE J.Kaindoh out of IMG Academy just decommitted from Maryland and it seems to be between PSU and FSU from the crystal ball projections recently. He is also an early enrolle prospect.

If he lands at FSU. That could be more of a deterrent for DE Owen Carney to fade away from FSU and be more in our favor to ILL.

Food for thought.

You have to figure we are looking good for Carney if he's still trying to enroll for the Spring. It just seems like FSU would only be able to take him if he waited to enroll later

Where is Lovie today? I thought I saw him driving up by Stevenson. Had a Bears license plate and the entire # was just an "L".

Good info, thanks. To say I was impressed with LA's o-line would be a major understatement. How'd they lose?

Did some quick research on Badovinac. That he's 6' 2" is probably what's holding up bigger offers.
Doug Kramer Junior is only 6'2". I believe he can play at this level but I agree they just want road graders. Badovinac is relentless. They lost to a well coached team that had 0 turnovers to our 2.

Nice to see the football side of this board coming alive. Should be a fun couple months.

Jeff Thomas could single handedly change the direction of this program.

If Lovie lands him in his first offseason, then the sky is the limit

I am not going to go that far , but it would have to help with how instate kids see the Illini, not counting Chicago as part of the state though. I am not sure what Lovie has to do to change the way we are looked at up there.

Lovie doing off campus recruiting will single handedly change the program. Seriously, the season being over is worth it just for that.

The door is open. Mizzou is in tatters. ND is headed for a regime change. MSU's armor has been dented.

Some of the biggest barriers to our in-state success are vulnerable. Go do this thing, Lovie.

Man I would love to see them come down here to Mississippi and recruit my kid's school. (We're playing in the 6a title game Friday) We've got a couple D1 kids including Cam Akers.

This is good timing for us to have Lovie on the rise while some of our rivals are suffering. Our timing hasn't always worked this well. Wisconsin is the only western B1G team that isn't mediocre. And as for MSU, do you think their rise (coinciding with Rodriguez and Hoke at scUM) and now their decline (coinciding with Harbaugh) is coincidence?

if we can end up with a top 40ish class I will be pleased. then just have to give Lovie and staff a couple years to tie some things together. Next year us fans just have to look at as a LONG version of fall practice and not worry about the record at all. Even in 2018 we have to give the kids a break on wins and loses, by 2019 we will know what Lovie and staff have come up with and we can start hopeing for bowl games

I also think that it tremendously helped our recruiting by playing as many freshman as we did. I know a lot of coaches tell recruits that they'll get early PT while not really meaning it, but our coaches actually did it. There really wasn't any favoritism towards the "experienced" players this year.

I think the Jeff Thomas quote about the East Side kids not getting any play time at Mizzou alluded to that somewhat. Meanwhile, Stanley Green ended up starting most of the year as a true frosh. Would really love to have East Side's coaches back on our side again.

Is Jeff Thomas going to Illinois an actual possibility? A handful of articles in the past week or so are mentioning it, but each seems to be connecting the dots more than anything of substance
