That's what my hope is....
Thomas may have to go juco
Would Thomas really go juco? Why not take a different offer?

Weird, because they list him at 232 on his player page on 247

Cause I'm hearing he may not qualify academically at all

Carney (6-3, 251) will join his teammate, wide receiver, Carmoni Green, at Illinois, another early enrollee.
"That's going to be special," Carney said. "We are going to change the face of the program."

Nice Christmas surprise!
As we climb our way up the recruiting class ladder, I have a question for those of you who know more than me. For the teams in the CFP, where can i found their class rankings over the last 4-5 years. Really I'm interested in seeing if there's an outlier in recruiting classes over that time period where coaching literally made the difference (what we're hoping for to get early success), or if they all had top 10 classes every year for 5 years and they were gonna get that far as long as they didn't shoot themselves in the foot.
247 has team rankings for each class you could look at to figure it out
Taking a look at the 2018 rankings, looks like a good year for recruits in Saint Louis. They even have three of the top 100 recruits:
Trevor Trout - DT
Kamryn Babb - WR
Michael Thompson - DT
Good info, thanks. Those 2 DTs are the type of kids that will vault us to the top of the BIG West. Really hope that staying close to home is important. 2018 could be a monumental class.
Hopefully Miznoz stays down as well.
Yes, but, with players of this caliber, Miznoz is the tip of the iceberg. If we can land one of these DTs, would be a huge statement. Fortuitous timing w/Mizzou though, no doubt.
Nate Hobbs has been bumped up to 3-stars now on scout. http://www.scout.com/player/207990-nate-hobbs?s=169
