Coran tweeted about him being a possible commit. That would be one of the highest ranked commits in recent memory and could be a game changer for the St. Louis area.

That's not true actually.

He'd be the moneyline for me. Anything above him would be a surprise, if they don't get snag him or anyone above, would be a disappointment.

That's definitely fair. We are in on a good number of top 300 guys. I think we may get a couple.

Without context losing this kid is no big deal. Another hundred out there like him. However, how do you lose an obscure player from Tuscola that grew up a HUGE Illini fan? Stuff like this is a little concerning

I know we can still have a great recruiting year. These misses early are not a big deal on their own. But what is with this. Concerning is the correct word.

How do we not get a kid from Tuscola?

We have to nail down St. Louis otherwise this recruiting class is heading towards TB territory.

As we saw last year, Lovie takes his time. He isn't in a rush to sign kids in April. Only the staff knows how they are prioritizing recruits so I wouldn't fret too much.

We heard the same stuff last year and ended up with a good class

The best kids in Illinois weren't flying off the board like this last year.

7 of the top 10 had committed to other places by this time last year. It isn't a particularly strong Illinois class this year either. Lovie is fishing in bigger waters
