Enough with that crap. You want to compete? Stop being pessimistic.
I see the point you are trying to make. But that was also my thought. Who doesn't fit on that list.

That is great company to be in, however, all I could hear was that old child's song....one of these things is not like the other, one of these things is not quite the same....
We certainly fit. We have a world class coaching staff, facility upgrades, a dedicated AD, a shift in commitment from the university in regards to Athletics, a world class institution, and a ravenous (Although annoying at times) fan base. I-L-L
Oh.... and playing time. Lots and lots of playing time
I appreciate your enthusiasm, I used to be that way too. I hope your enthusiasm bleeds throughout Illini nation and we get a team that stacks up with your passion!
Is he as accurate a passer as that makes him appear? He was hitting his guys in full stride.

Cordel Littlejohn had his scholarship pulled
Not a good look.
Not a good look.
Unfortunately no. Maybe down the road when it really doesn't matter anymore. Even if the staff had a perfectly legitimate reason for pulling the offer.
Do we even know for sure that the commitment was even really accepted? Were there UI announcements to the effect that his commitment was accepted? I don't follow football very closely and may have missed something. Just asking....
I'm sure there's more to the story and people in the recruiting world probably know what it is. Lovie is an honorable man and I'm sure he did nothing dishonorable here. In Lovie I Trust.
Is he really the biggest "project" qb? I was initially thinking the same thing, but calibear had him rated higher than Rivers. I know that doesn't necessarily mean that the staff has the same opinion. In any case, was Rivers that big of a step up that you do this to one of your commits?

Cmon, we all know what happened here. MJ Rivers committed and now we had 3 committed quarterbacks, probably one to many in what will be a smaller class, so the biggest project qb had his scholarship pulled. Happens often in big boy programs and yesterday it happened here. Can't have it both ways, if we want to be a big time program these things are going to happen. Not saying I like it or agree with it, but that's the way it is.
I know this probable happens more often than we think, and that we have a small class this year and can't really "waste" a scholarship. But I still don't like the looks of it. And we better fill all those available scholarships now, otherwise it's gonna look worse. If we don't, then the questions becomes, "why not keep him and add to the QB competition and/or try to have him switch positions?"
Any chance we just gave him a deadline to commit, and he committed after? Then with our coaches not being able to speak publicly on it, they were like "Hey man, your window to commit closed, what are you doing?"
