I don't think anyone is worried about it. I was just stating that I would be more excited about getting Shammond Cooper for on the field need as opposed to Isaiah Williams as a QB. Yes it is a great problem to have

Sorry I can't share 'cause I don't know how to do it.

But some guy, Tim Bielek (sp?) was whining at site clevland.com (Plain Dealer?) about how Ohio State lost two top-100 recruits, one being our guy, Mr. Beason.

He more or less intimated that there was plenty of time for Beason to come to his senses and sign with Columbus U. Who knows what will happen?

But what gall!

Their fanbase and homer media does insufferable very, very well. Imagine how great it will be when we drink their milkshake! Delicious. Obviously, that's down the road, but a guy can dream.

Follow Bob Zuppke on twitter he's retweeting all this stuff. He's probably retweeted 20ish excited recruits today, or Beason tweeting at said recruits

For anyone who wants to feel some positive energy regarding this program, go on Twitter and search #ILLGang19 or #Littyville and check out some of the highly ranked recruits who have been tweeting those hashtags. Read some of Marquez Beason's Twitter feed too, earlier today he got into an argument with some player/commit from Texas A&M where he and several Illini players (including Calvin Avery and Bennett Williams) got after him.

I feel great about the potential of this class.... if Isaiah Williams commits before the season and the team goes anywhere from 5-7 to 7-5, this class can be top 25 and best or second in the B1G West.

The irons are hot!!

Yeah it's really sad and in my opinion to see some recruits stooping low and to make jabs at Illinois. But oh well when you're coming off back to back sub .250 seasons that's not out of the ordinary.

Yeah I agree, and we are worse than back to back sub .250 seasons. We have been irrelevant since every recruit has been alive.

We’ve been to two BCS bowls in their lifetimes. Probably best the oldest of them were in diapers for the Sugar Bowl and 7-8 for the Rose Bowl.

Yeah, those were one offs and we weren’t competitive. I love Illinois, but I don’t think those games make us relevant in football.

Adding Jahleel Billingsley, Isaiah Williams, and Jason Bargy to Marquez Beason early would give us a composite score of 98.72 (Rank 13) and an average player rating of 95.15. Only other 4 recruit team ahead of Illinois would be Alabama with a 102.44 and average player rating of 96.13. Think about that!!!

Ahhh, a kid can dream, but this is totally doable!!! Let's get it done! We have the first domino. Who's next???

Trying to register all the info I can from multiple sources, I would say it might be a toss up between one of the Phillips Academy kids and Isaiah Williams. Which I do find interesting if IW commits without putting out a top (whatever). That is the thing to do to build hype I guess. Maybe he knows he does not need any hype?
