We aren’t high on his list, but he is taking calls.

1. Yes he did.Interesting
Leads me to 2 questions
1. Did the USC safety ever land anywhere that was in the portal last year
2. What do they plan on doing at safety next year?
Anybody know how his talents translate to Safety? I know he got a lot of hype this preseason and then almost immediately was exposed at corner. Is the USC safety being discussed Ykili Ross? If so, per the context of this argument, he wouldn't help us. I believe he's currently playing on his last year of eligibility.
Quan moving safety is likely our best bet.

Thanks. For my own education, what specifically has he struggled with at CB? I’ve seen it reported that he’s got the tools, so is it just a technique/instincts challenge that may improve with experience?I'd have to see him play a bit before I say. He's got the eyes to be useful there and he's a willing tackler but he's still very raw which makes it very difficult to determine. This isn't like translating a college CB to S at the pro level, which can be done with high rates of accuracy.

This is the dream prospect for Lovie's staff. Highly ranked cornerback with height. Seems like a long shot with his offer list but would be an incredible get.
Think we can just have Lovie show up with Peanut and just let them talk about how he will turn into a ball hawking all-B1G that will play in the NFL?
We do seem to do well when we have a Brown at running back.
Any news?

I think we have a transfer from Miami at safety next year.
He is going to play LB.
That was the ranking before the Rutgers gameIllini just jumped 16 spots in the cbspower130 to number 68.. should help with recruiting I would think.. with our winning in big ten conference play we have something to physically show progress to these recruits!
How is Shammond Cooper coming along as a prospect? Will he be getting minutes at LB next year?
What you just said is the key to have a great program vs just a good season.I hope he is in a high level competition with all the returners and the best man wins.
It shows yesterday's win and our current record of 5-4That was the ranking before the Rutgers game
