Would love to get Bostick. I think he's an absolute gem of a prospect. I believe he has an official to Iowa this weekend and then a decision could be coming very soon. Hopefully it's the Orange & Blue next week.

No doubt. Stands to reason that our early commits would be lower hanging fruit (by and large), but can we up the ante? Getting kids like Baer, Pugh, Brown, etc. answers that question, big time.
I been tweaking out since Bielema sent that tweet thinking about trotting Ryan Baer, Hunter Whitenack, and Joey Okla out in a Big Ten championship game.

Following BB's bear tweet, did a bit of digging. Baer cancelled his OV to the golden domers (this weekend), because they wouldn't host his GF (family only). So, it looks like it's coming down to UK and us. Recent pics (on twitter) have dad and GF in O&B, but no clue if that's a tell.
Well done...I think you can send that to BB's branding team, they should be able to work with that.
Baer is a big boy. If he comes BB will have recruited for the future. We did get a couple of good OL last recruiting class. Let's Go!! Now we need DL and LBers to finish the class. Well done I agree!

I don't think we recruit defense at Illinois anymore. It seems like Lovie didn't focus on it, and BB is following suit. At least that is the perception I have from following recruiting news.

He has a chance for immediate playing time, but there's a helluva lot more than sheer size involved. Also, these HS kids are used to having their way with smaller/much smaller kids. D1 football is a much different animal.
Agreed. Would also love to see some punishing depth at DL
Sometimes punishing OL depth gets moved to the DL. That could be happening with all of these mauler OL types, in that one (or two) eventually get tried at Nose.
