I dont know any particulars but I like the idea of taking a QB from the Buckeyes. Is there any chance for Jack Miller? That would be best-case scenario but I'm assuming he's above our pay grade.

Wouldn’t art be lucky to be healthy by mid/late summer? Not saying collier or leary can’t develop into a starting qb, but id feel a ton better knowing we brought in a guy or 2 with d-1 experience at qb for next yr to elevate competition and just roll with art and the young guys. Devito fits the bill, 1 yr stop gap with plenty of experience and there is plenty of guys that would work, curious who wants to come here or who the staff can convince to come here. Oh and out of curiosity, if devito does come here, wouldn’t he be joining art, peters and lunt as another 4 star transfer qb coming to Illinois?
Isn’t the answer we do not have confidence? Need to try someone other than what we have.I'd pass on stop gaps really unless it's a grad transfer who is already a proven star(IE: not lost starting job or injuries). You either have confidence in your guys or you don't.
Bret is just getting started, and it makes the most sense to get a starter you can build around.
Well proven QBs (rattler for example) are gonna have their pick of where to go and it isn’t gonna be Illinois. The staff also isn’t going to throw their freshman QB to the wolves. He needs time to develop and get reps in practice. So stop gaps it is. They would prefer a transfer QB with multiple years of eligibility though.I'd pass on stop gaps really unless it's a grad transfer who is already a proven star(IE: not lost starting job or injuries). would also push back. obviously, team the team but not sure our current QB roster qualifies as this staffs' guysI'd pass on stop gaps really unless it's a grad transfer who is already a proven star(IE: not lost starting job or injuries). You either have confidence in your guys or you don't.

Let's not even talk about our best prep QB since Juice, Nathan Scheelhaase, part of the 2009 recruiting class!
Did McDonald recruit DeVito? My top two realistic QBs would be the Duke transfer or the Akron transfer. Wouldn’t mind DeVito though.
I want to translate that into Spanish.Worse than terrible
That would be a great pickup if we could get him. Reports says he is accurate. Is Harrison Bailey an option? I looked on Twitter and noticed he’s following McDonald and one of the recruiting coordinators.
I believe the TE from iowa.Weren't there two transfers on campus? Any idea who the second was aside from the qb?
Stay with Art, samari, and Johnson.
Teams have to cut back a large # of scholarships this year. Many schools simply won't have the room for additions.Saw Beason got an offer from Samford. No disrespect to Samford, but that has to be a bit of a bummer for Marquez. Damn injuries.
Wow. He was special when healthyIndiana QB Michael Penix to transfer.

Unfortunately he has a history of injury problems. I still would consider him though.Wow. He was special when healthy
