East has 57 four and five star recruits while West has 10. You’d expect a pretty big discrepancy what with OSU, PSU, and UM in East, but even East bottom dwellers have more than any school in East.

There is essentially a wide open lane for a third consistently successful team alongside Wisconsin and Iowa in the West.
We beat Nebraska, Minnesota and Northwestern this year, and should have beaten Purdue. That’s the measuring stick.
All of those teams maybe bar Northwestern will be projected ahead of us next year, as they were this year. Can we continue to elbow our way forward in the pack?

So I see our PR department still can't get these kids the proper Illinois Images for announcements or tweets. I know google is no help, but you would think someone would be trying to make sure the kids have/use the correct Logo's for Illinois Athletics.
How many years has it been since the rebrand? And we still can't get this right? This is probably one of the most frustrating things about being an Illini fan.

I can guarantee you that the logo used for committed player announcements is nowhere near the top of my list of "Frustrating Things About Being an Illini Fan."
Not to mention - no matter what you say or do - some people prefer to use vintage logos. This is not some Illinois exclusive event. I have seen people use the old Maryland logo from 2001.
Good get!! State wrestling champion means great feet and balance. Played DE in HS, but lists OLB. Makes me wonder if he wanted to play OLB and UT was pushing at DE.
Most of the commitment edits are sent to the recruit from the graphics team....So I think they are sending out the correct image/logo.
Realistically, outside of OSU, PSU and UM you can throw the remaining schools in the same bag. There just isn't that much difference between MSU or Rutgers and UI. For these schools, it comes down to player development, coaching and getting the right transfers
Yet on the field, the West is even with the East in cross-divisional games over the last three years: 28 wins and 28 losses (10-11 in 2021, 8-6 in 2020, and10-11 in 2019). Of course, the championship games have been all East.
I would like to point out next year is our revamp of Illinois football uniforms under BB. We could only change to the white facemask this year due to our agreement with Nike. This year though we can change jerseys, pants, and helmet logo. Taking this into consideration I have a feeling we are going back to the NYGiants Illinois or possibly the script Illini on the side. With more classic OBO and OWO becoming our defaults. Excited to see what uniforms look like in the fall.
It would be interesting to see a breakdown of cross-divisional records by school. I googled it but couldn't find anything. I wonder if there are some outliers or if it would be pretty much the same as the conference records. I suspect the records of the bottom 3 cancel out the records of the top 3.
