That explosion is really good for dropping backs in the back field or challenging lineman at the point of attack.

I hate the "gotta trust the coaching staff" statements on here because this is a message board and Illinois football coaching staffs of yesteryear haven't been great talent identifiers but if Bielema is not offering an offensive lineman, his track record provides him with trust to make the right call. All that said, maybe he gets an offer down the road.

We are the only B1G school without a commitment. Time to change that
Yup. There are two things I trust this staff about more than any other....BB and Bart in OL evals and Walters in safety evals.
BB still trying to find some OL. Saw him listed at 6-3, 285. Article I saw said he’s picked up offers from OK St., WSU, and some smaller schools like Coastal Carolina.
Illini offered another ESL guy, an OL named Henderson. Think I saw he’s 300+ pounds.
Love the renewed ESL focus. Need to make some more traction there. Also, need to get out NIL game in gear because in-state NIL opportunities should be plentiful. Seen offers for Henderson, McVay, and Hayden. Not sure we've offered Patterson yet
BB again showing he has no qualms trying to go into neighboring states for players.

Illini has now offered an OL transfer from Austin Peay — Bucky Williams. He was all-conference this past season and 2nd team season before, and would have 2 years of eligibility.
OL is an obvious immediate need (due to graduation losses) -- hence the push for transfers. They've gained at two in the fold who, presumably, they hope to contribute right away. Maybe they will add another by opening of fall camp. Yet the staff did not neglect building for the future, either, signing 5 incoming freshman O-linemen.
Agree with all that. No problem at all with BB going after transfers — in fact, I applaud it. Definitely a good thing if can add at least one more transfer OL.
Robinson looks a little small for an immediate addition, 6-4 250. Bucky Williams is a better fit at 6-3 295.
