Not sure I agree with you. Didnt really light the world on fire in D3 or whatever Minnesota st is in. Right now this seems like a wasted scholarship with other needs that should be met rather than this.
How does a corner light the world on fire? They hardly threw his way ever. He’s not gonna rack up INTs at D2 in the north. It’s ground and pound. Watch the film. I do agree we have other needs. But CB2 is Nicholson right now. And I don’t feel good about that.
Nicholson is 1000x better than a D2 CB with 15 tackles
Minnesota State had a really good hockey team this season, but I am completely unfamiliar with the football program.

If you are using tackles to determine how good a CB is then you are looking at the wrong stat. For example Adams and Quan Martin both had more tackles than spoon last season. But everyone knows who was the best CB. Teams avoid that side of the field. Taz is too small to cover legit outside WRs. I’d be fine with him as the slot cover guy. But he will get bodied against legit outside guys

The best corners don't have to tackle the guy they are covering because they don't catch the ball as often. Pretty simple concept lol.
Exactly why they called it revis island. The #1 corner on most teams isn’t the one with the most tackles

Stoked about McCantos, think he'll be a multiyear starter. But expecting him to be a 1 as a true freshman, especially after knee surgery, is a bridge too far, IMO.
It was sad when Coach Van Dam lost his defensive coordinator job, but at least he found a new hobby...
