Speculation on some potential QB transfers.
DJ U being not good enough for Clemson is by no means a reason why we would turn down him transferring here...The hate for DJ Uiagalelei on here is too strong. He isn't competing passes at the same rate is DeVito (70+%) but it's fine (63.5%). DJ has a slightly higher passer efficiency rating that TDV, plus he's on pace for 500+ rushing yards. He has 17 passing TDs and 4 INTs. If he's interested in transferring and would consider Illinois, that would be a great option.

Thanks for the article.Speculation on some potential QB transfers.
They don’t say much of anything about him, but you have to like Oklahoma’s General Booty if for nothing else but the All-Name team.Sign me up for Luke Altmyer. Those traits are exactly what TDV has shown this year.
He is not leaving Clemson so I am not sure why people keep talking about him. Klubnik was not good when he replaced him after the half. Klubnik is not Trevor Lawrence so Dabo does not have an easy decision like he did when Kelly Bryant was the starter. The hate for DJ Uiagalelei on here is too strong. The comments I have read (albeit few) who would not want DJU on next years team are absolutely outside of their minds. The hate for DJ Uiagalelei on here is too strong. We did have a QB taken #1 in the draft.DJU would be the best quarterback talent to ever step foot on that field in Orange and Blue and its not particularly close.
It'll be a little like how we went from Coaches Lou and Lou in the mid 90s, to Lou and Lon, to Ron and Lon by the early 2000s.It obviously needs to be Tyler Van Dyke from Miami! This Hollywood last name is working very well so far!
From TDV to TVD!!
Not sure about that, we did have the number 1 draft pick in the NFL draft in Jeff George, plus, Dave Wilson, Tony Eason, Jack Trudeau, Jason Verduzco as well as Kurt Kittner and Nathan Sheelhaase. The comments I have read (albeit few) who would not want DJU on next years team are absolutely outside of their minds.

"nearly half of all FBS starting quarterbacks to open the 2022 season were transfers"Thanks for the article.
This headline is just mind blowing. How many of these transfers work out I wonder and are the teams they left better or worse without them. It’s a game of high stakes musical chairs.
Transfer Takeover: Nearly half of college football's QBs are transfers
Entering the 2022 season, 58 starting quarterbacks in the FBS are transfers (47.9%). It seems certain this is the new norm in college football.247sports.com
I remember the College football game with John David Booty and the commentary would say " Booty, doesn't like what he sees"They don’t say much of anything about him, but you have to like Oklahoma’s General Booty if for nothing else but the All-Name team.
Shame on you! That was sophomoric. And I wish I had cum up with it.Should we trust Clit oris he just blowing smoke
Caught my eye…Speculation on some potential QB transfers.
How many Clemson games have you watched? The Syracuse bad game wasn't his first. It's hilarious to me that people on here are dead set against DJ Uiagalelei who had a bad game against a ranked Syracuse team, but is having an otherwise tremendous season, when our current QB (who we all love!) lost his starting job at his prior school after mediocre performances against Ohio, Rutgers, and Albany!
He's 63.8% on the season and had 17 TDs to 2 Ints going into that game. Add in 350 yards and 4 tds on the ground. How many Clemson games have you watched? The Syracuse bad game wasn't his first.
Can I think that DJU has had some bad games AND would be as good if not better than some of our recent QBs? Porque no los dos?
Naw man. I find it hard to believe we wouldn't be able to land Stroud or Maye in the portal.Bingo. QBs who haven't had any struggles aren't going to consider the NFL. They'll go pro or go to the upper crust of CFB. It isn't easy but you need to find QBs who've had success and you believe your culture, scheme, coaching, development, etc. can help them recapture their past performance (or potential from their prep days). TDV's success at Illinois likely opened a lot more doors for the staff to find a transfer QB. Plenty of pressure to pick the right one for 2023.
