I stood next to Olin when they hosted their radio show in Chicago when the Bears beat the Packers in 2018 to win the division. Olin is normal sized now. Probably weighs about 190 pounds now.

While Loren was still just a little bit vague & mysterious in making his Leary comment in the last sentence of an otherwise BASKETBALL focused article, I sure hope you're right! It's consistent with his style. Further, it also reinforces the fact that we have no one else in the local media with access to the "inside scoop" like Loren has now had for the past 50+ years. And I'd say his overall track record is 95%+.

Agreed.
I saw Olin in Grange Grove at the Iowa game this year. Incredibly, he now looks like a regular human being. 190 lbs sounds about right.
My point earlier this week was actually related to that game day sighting. Olin seems totally engaged with the program. He sent his only two boys to Champaign. He's a former All-American at Washington, 14-year NFL veteran, and 6-time Pro Bowler. As a Dad, he probably wants his boys to follow in his footsteps. As such, I would expect Bielema to keep him in the loop (when recruiting over his sons) since we're probably counting on the fact that he passed down those superlative NFL genes!

After winning 1 game, Northwestern still has the #30 recruiting class coming in. That bothers me
My best guess is the guys they have committed are also committed students and really want the NW degree. Winning football games is an added bonus. Could be entirely wrong, just my hot take.
Any word on decommits with RW heading to Purdue?

People seem to know something because they keep saying relax. I guess recruits knew this was coming or at least i hope.

I ain't saying we're out of it ... But Walters leaving definitely hurts our chances ...
90% of the class committed before the season started. Not a flashy class but a nice meat and potatoes group at the positions they got.
I’m confident about Elzy and Pierce but Hill not so much.

This is a great time for Illinois football! If people want to get worked up go look at past coaches and year by year records for 5 minutes.

That would be good, and if i'm not mistaking, Leonhard is a pretty good recruiter too. That would be a Home run hire for me.
