Maybe he's been guaranteed a starting position at Miznoz and we wouldn't do that. Or maybe he's got a thing for black and gold. Who knows?
Plus I’ve heard SEC is a pretty decent conference. Usually 2 or 3 from that conference get drafted each year.

Not done.

Top priority has to be getting another defensive back, especially one who can start/lead the back-half of the defense. Right now there is one safety who's played meaningful snaps in P5. Turner is interesting, Karriem could (will?) get snaps, but lots of unknown. Cornerback starters are Nicholson, probably Scott, and then a wide open competition between Mc-Cantos, Rooks, Harper, and Strain. Strain is probably the favorite (~160 snaps this year) but has size concerns. Getting another trustworthy guy (quality over another depth piece) would be a big relief.

Maybe we have this guy who they've seen in practice, but I still think a experienced running back who can catch the ball out of the backfield
would be a good get from the portal. otherwise we will be asking a lot from a bunch of red shirt frosh.

You've omitted Kaleb Patterson. He's got a VG chance to be a starter, IMO.

i know, i know... experienced and "seen in practice" are two different things. you guys get my drift.
There will be more younger guys stepping in to fill roles than last season. BB will bring in a few more bodies for depth. Change can be scary but I trust BB and has made all the right moves.

Think DTs are the bigger concern(depending on Newton/Randolph) if they come back then it becomes RB and Corner

Regarding the law firm.
Wondering if the lack of D Line transfers is telling us the story.

The transfer portal closes on January 18th so there is still time for more players to enter as well. Spring open portal is from May 1-15. Plenty of options available now and later. Illinois has not lost much in the transfer portal compared to a lot of teams. Looking good....

Horrible timing too, we are getting later and later in Portal process and he decides to bolt to another team. How many good Centers are left now?
