A pretty highly rated Wyoming transfer at OT. It makes me wonder if we are not happy with our Tackle situation? He wouldn't be standing on the sidelines if he came here.
I guess he is more of a Guard than Tackle. He did play 1 game at Tackle last year.

all these visits and no commits.....starting to worry about this staffs ability to recruit

would you feel better if we had a bunch of MAC-level kids in the fold?

it's still early and, FWLIW, I am confident that our staff has VG recruiters.
Illinois and Northwestern are the only schools with one recruit in 2024- not looking good- Minnesota already has 10

minnesota always gets their recruits early. apparently fleck pressures them and does something along the lines of threatening to pull their scholarship if they dont commit on the visit. pretty sure they also end up with more decommits because of that tactic...obviously we'd like some big commits earlier than this, but not sure I'd be worried unless most of our top targets start committing elsewhere

strange- he doesn't even let them think about it before making a career decision- seems like an odd tatic

Currently all we have for 2024 is one MAC level kid

BB always fails at OL grading and never puts any into the NFL. 🙄 Have you watched his film? He's almost a year younger than his competition because his birthday is really late. The kid is a beast in the weight room. There are starting college OL that he outlifts. Lets give the kid a chance to get on campus.

I trust Coach B also that he has what he needs but wants to get what he wants. He and His staff are always thinking ahead a step or two.

UW got a CB for 4* Mt carmel RB Darrion Dupree today. That would really suck given our ties to Mt Carmel and our staff's ability to develop a run game. UW is hitting the state of Illinois hard

On the bright side its only a cb of 6, but i agree 100% with what you posted.

Not a knock on the kid. He had two other offers and they were both from MAC. I'm happy for him and wish him the best representing Illinois. I was merely stating a fact. My negativity is not directed at any players, only the apparent lack of respect for the program from anyone not posting on this forum.

I trust BB and Bart on their ability to scout, grade and recruit OL.

Speaking for myself , I knew you had ZERO negative thoughts regarding anything Illini , but there has been a lot of newbie's posting since we entered full time off season posting , so don't sweat it bro......Us who know you know what you meant ....

Appreciate it pru. By the way, I'll take more complaining compared to apathy. More new posters is a good thing
