looks like Lunney made a VG call. Petty seems to have the goods.
I expect other schools will be coming after him. I agree, he looks like a good one.looks like Lunney made a VG call. Petty seems to have the goods.
seems the 2 other schools showing the most interest have been Ole Miss and Miss State. Ole Miss just landed a consensus 4 star QB this week, and Miss St has a QB commit who is in the 400s nationally, so as it stands now, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.yeah...not to be a Debbie downer here (I can feel the GIF coming), but anyone in the know have any idea what the odds are that we hold on to the Petty commitment if Ole Miss or other SEC schools come calling?

I think there's a pretty good chance Petty will sign with us.

Myson Johnson Cook, the freshman ATH from Decatur had a 98 yard TD run today. Earliest ever offer from coach B. I tried to post a video my son sent me but it wouldnt upload. Kid is blazing fast and already over 200lbs.
they still suck though

6’3 205 lbs and runs a 4.53 40 as a freshman. That is unbelievable and the making of a 5 star RB if I’ve ever heard one.

Definitely true, yet there are also times when you know, you know. In 8th grade, my son played LB on a central VA all-star team in a 4 team tournament in DC against all-star teams from NoVA, NC, and MD. Tons of eventual D1 talent across those teams, but best player by far was MD's RB, Anthony McFarland. He was unstoppable, not physically big either, just another level of speed and strength. In spite of a broken leg his Sr. year of high school, he went on to be a HS All American, played for Maryland, drafted by Steelers in the 4th. Has had some injury troubles, but I think is still on their roster. But it was no surprise he made the league. The concerns with kids that are that physically overpowering early is will they continue to develop or will everyone else catch up to them. The other thing is what's the work ethic like for someone that is just more talented than everyone else. Hopefully he keeps putting in the work and continues to grow because if he does hes definitely a 5 star.
Not the same sport but I remember having that same thought watching Shaun Livingston warm up during the turkey tournament in Decatur. Just so much more talented than anyone else on the floor.Definitely true, yet there are also times when you know, you know.
