Kid went from a a 5 star recruit playing for LSU during their national championship to Georgia to Nebraska hoping for a wavier to play to legal trouble
Just shows being a 5 star doesn’t mean success
So sad, another victim of a crippling vape addiction

Epenesa going to Iowa or do we have a chance? How realistic are these top 300 guys? Have been recruiting great lately but not at this level.

1st & Daniel
New Rivals 250 out for '25 class

8 in-staters in the list, including 6 in the top 150
And all six of those 4 star guys have had multiple visits already to Champaign with the exception of one who hasn't visited anywhere.

This is just so refreshing and validating to see the high end in-state talent finally, consistently having Illinois in the mix. Next stop is consistently landing a handful of them and if 8+ wins starts becoming the standard around here it's going to happen organically. Really feels like we legitimately have something repeatable going for the first time in fifteen years.

Illinois will be miracle workers if we land Epenesa

Live in the metro STL area and this kid is a beast already. AJ went to Iowa and middle brother Eric is currently at Iowa. Family is very pro-Iowa......hey we all have our flaws :ROFLMAO:

He just got offers from USC and Texas this week alone

(Forgot to mention father went to Iowa as well)

yeah it's nice to see that the staff has been here long enough that they are now forming relationships with these kids early.
I'm sure we won't get all or even most of them with blue blood heavily involved, but the fact that a lot of the '25 kids are DL/edge could help us if we can win and the law firm & Jacas/Coleman/Bryant dominate like they're expected to.

Yup. Cant wait to get out and see him in person. Probably gonna go check out the week 3 matchup against Chatham Glenwood.
Chatham alum here. Please report back on how he fares against us. Chatham’s defense is a lot better than Southeast’s, but I can guarantee you Chatham doesn’t have an athlete like that on their roster. He will probably be focus of most defensive plans soon enough.

Will do. I agree, if he shreds Chatham for big yards he is the real deal. They are usually coached up really well.
