Hmmm, PJ Woodland decommitted from Miss. State three weeks ago and also said "unforeseen circumstances". Not sure what that means.

Is Petty an Illinois commit or a system commit? Everyone damn near wants Lunney gone so will that factor in? Is Petty willing to come in and wait his turn for 2 years after Luke? I think most would agree Luke isn't going pro after next year without remarkable improvement. I think this kid is the real deal, I'm just worried he either won't be here or will be gone after a year.

1. Petty is an Illinois commit.
2. Doesn't matter if fans want Lunney gone....they don't make the decision on whether he is gone or not.
3. Petty and Luke are good friends and Petty is getting a decent chunk of NIL money already.

Safe to say the staff is high on Petty independent of his connections with Luke?

How many QBs are coming in and playing as freshman regardless of program or ranking? I don't think that's typically part of the expectation for most of them. Its pretty unusual when a guy starts even 3 seasons at QB.
