So this is how Mizzou did it? They just passed the hat around a message board?
Need to change the uniform color combos...quickly looking and with no face showing, honestly I thought of Jake Browning's girlfriend 1st...lolif this is who I think it is, he'd make a VVG PWO:
Word around here in StL is that the Walton/Kroenke family really wants a NC to go with their pro championships. Why does Mizzou have so much more NIL than us?
It's a joke that we can afford top notch facilities with our "Big 2" money, but we can hardly afford a P5 transfer
It makes no sense to prioritize basketball. Call me disillusioned and disappointed if that is the case.I've donated in the past, and from what I remember, you can't specify which sport you'd like your donation to go to, correct?
I could be wrong, but just based on what I've read on this board, it's not so much an issue with not having plenty of NIL funds, it's just that Illinois NIL is primarily allocated to basketball, and not as much to football. Mizzou just does the opposite, hence them seeming to have more money for football than us. But we also thoroughly outperform them with regards to basketball NIL.
So unless there is a way for a "regular' fan to donate specifically to football, all we can do is donate generally and hope "a rising tide lifts all ships." Do I have that right?
Makes no sense if you would like support from football fans, which is apparently not a priority. It makes no sense to prioritize basketball. Call me disillusioned and disappointed if that is the case.
I'm sure the majority of our NIL still goes mostly to football, just from a sheer number of players perspective. However, I have got the inclination from what others have said is that we spend a higher share on basketball than most. Because we are a "basketball school."It makes no sense to prioritize basketball. Call me disillusioned and disappointed if that is the case.
Not that I've seen.has the amount of NIL given to our programs and/or players ever been published ?
I don’t recall seeing that
Basketball school...ugh. I like basketball but have never liked the dismissive phrase "we're a basketball school". Typically used when our football team struggles. It may make some of you feel better but, as for me, it's irritating. Just my 2 cents,I'm sure the majority of our NIL still goes mostly to football, just from a sheer number of players perspective. Again, could be wrong. Would welcome anyone with information to suggest otherwise.
Yeah, that's why I put it in quotes. Personally, I wish we just dominated in all sports. But I also can't argue that we are generally perceived as being a basketball first school.Basketball school...ugh.
