Oddly, of like the 6 blue-chip DLs in the state, Marshall may be the only remaining one we have a shot at. But, he'll clearly be chased by the big names. Kinda depressing not to be in these battles and have a school like Miami lead the local headlines

The Marshall recruitment is going to be telling. We've had discussions before on whether Illinois can be a serious contender for a top-100 talent, in-state recruit. Marshall is the perfect setup. He's at a location and school that fits Illinois' recruiting blueprint over the past 20-ish years. His grandfather is Ken Norman. He plays a position that Illinois has had success in the past 4-5 years. Either win this one or lots of folks need to stop convincing themselves it's a possibility, myself included.

i’m a couple years older than him and I’m still waiting for my first grandkid . my kids are not in any hurry , at all , to get it started .
kind of typical for a lot of the people aged 25-35 today . it is what it is . it’s not easy nor inexpensive having and raising kids in these times
