Mr. Tibbs

southeast DuPage
Get him on board and Lovett on board. Start to lock down the south suburbs
I went to grade school in OakLawn in the 1970's.
When is the last time we had a player in football from Richards or Eisenhower ? (both schools are D218)

so many times , the best O linemen & D linemen were great wrestlers . its all about the footwork in both sports (arms are important too)

some of our best central illinois 5A linemen were under 175 lbs wrestlers, they could tilt kids, get angles on them, get under them.
all wrestling basics. skills that will do well with heavyweights too. I dunno if he wrestled, but the eagles Kelsey isn't the biggest center,
but has those skills (see the Eagles QB sneaks)

This is a great question. Diehl was from that area but I don't believe he went to either HS. No idea who was the last from Richards/Eisenhower.

When I went there (class of 1979) the academics were great — not so much sports. My class was terrible in football and not very good in bball. Classes just prior were better. Had bball players go to Oregon and Texas A&M. I don’t really follow school too closely, but seems like they had at least stretches when they were good. Noticed they had an alum drafted by NFL this past draft. And they did just beat Morez and Thornton.
