I agree, it sucks to lose local/ Illinois kid. But my take is these kids want to get away from home and go somewhere warm. My nephew is a really good baseball player, one of the top high school freshman in Iowa. He wants to go play down south.

He did a one day visit to Auburn, on a Tuesday, after visiting Clemson, and that was enough to convince him to commit? If it was me, I would continue to recruit him. He isn't high regarded enough to assume Auburn gave him a massive NIL bag (can't afford to give ~400th ranked HS recruits much money), just seems odd.

I'll set the over/under at 3.5 commits from this weekend's visitors. Wanted to say 2.5 but the kool aid around here would have everyone going over.I'
I'm assuming this means "commitments within 1 week after departing campus" --- so by June 16th.
