I’ve been trying to track scholarships and it’s been unclear to me if Pinton had one. Does he have a scholarship…or maybe he’ll be getting one?Pinton is the punter

Not football-related, but one of my first reactions was that this young man will easily get his degree and maybe a masters too, all at a gentle academic pace. He has a really nice setup if he values the degree too.He also just turned 19 before the season. He’s still very young
What we are building here is more sustainable long term. Recruits see that and good things will come along soon….let the process play out.
Does he even have a visit scheduled yet?
But we know it's all about money these days. If Nebraska has enough, he will go there. I don't know if it is about winning anymore. If a school is willing to pay good money, they will go there. What we are building here is more sustainable long term. It's not all about money to all kids. We got kids to stay here for significantly less money than they would have got elsewhere. But we know it's all about money these days. Backup who has game experience, but with the portal you can now go find a one-year backup until your underclassmen are developedWhy?
I'd say it's worked out for them. The wise kids can see the long view.Gabe and Pat took a lot less to stay. They trusted the development
Nasir is the top-rated in-state football recruit for the 2026 class. So it actually is the right boardWrong board.
Yeah, and it's also why Luke would think it's far more beneficial to stay even if he were to receive a higher NIL deal elsewhere. Having consistency in your coach and scheme year to year and being able to see your own development is significant. As is winning. So long as Luke feels the team is going to have lineman to protect him next season and we go out and secure him another top end WR, in most cases it would be to his own detriment to leave if he wants a shot at the NFL, even if they were to offer more money. Consistency, experience, timing, and knowledge are difficult to put a price on. It happens, sure, but when you know you have a good thing going it becomes less likelyGabe and Pat took a lot less to stay. They trusted the development
They'll never let us have too much fun, will they? This week's vote by the University of Illinois faculty Senate to deny an honorary degree to local businessman and philanthropist Shahid Khan Jim Dey | UI leaders blast faculty decision to block honorary degree

Trustees have directed UI President Tim Killeen to “conduct a thorough review of such policies” and report back “with recommendations” by March 30. https://www.news-gazette.com/opinio...cle_4352a978-b8b2-11ef-91ec-e7c94b73b1d1.html
How?That’s going to hopefully change soon.
Our faculty loves shooting our school in the foot sometimes. It's an honorary degree, guys, just give it to the man, it really isn't that difficult. If 90% of the faculty were held to the same standards they hold other people, they never would be allowed anywhere near campus. Just pure ego. This week's vote by the University of Illinois faculty Senate to deny an honorary degree to local businessman and philanthropist Shahid Khan Jim Dey | UI leaders blast faculty decision to block honorary degree

"Faranak Miraftab, who teaches in the UI’s urban planning department, described the Kahn nomination as “questionable” because she wondered whether it was motivated by Khan’s financial gifts to the UI. She said “honorary degrees should not be awarded on that basis.”This week's vote by the University of Illinois faculty Senate to deny an honorary degree to local businessman and philanthropist Shahid Khan Jim Dey | UI leaders blast faculty decision to block honorary degree

It never fails to amaze me when someone hates their employer so much that they work against the employer. At the very least, they should understand basic economics. And maybe, just maybe, look on the positive side of things?"Faranak Miraftab, who teaches in the UI’s urban planning department, described the Kahn nomination as “questionable” because she wondered whether it was motivated by Khan’s financial gifts to the UI. Stephanie Fortado, who teaches in labor and industrial relations and is also a member of the Champaign County Board, recalled joining protests over labor practices at the local Flex-N-Gate plant a decade ago.
“Some of the things we heard about were, frankly, terrible,” said Fortado, who also complained about “unbelievable” environment and safety violations.
Kate Clancy, a member of the anthropology department, complained about news reports that Khan recently held a “yacht party” attended by politicians she deemed suspect."

The Fortado quote is a hilarious self-own, because by saying she heard some terrible things means she never actually researched it, otherwise she would have said "in her research and investigation of the safety violation case against Khan.""Faranak Miraftab, who teaches in the UI’s urban planning department, described the Kahn nomination as “questionable” because she wondered whether it was motivated by Khan’s financial gifts to the UI. I cannot believe that moron still teaches there. For anyone who had Kate Clancy as a professor, you might join me in saying that she is one of the worst professors at the school. Could not keep her personal beliefs out of the classroom for the life of her."Faranak Miraftab, who teaches in the UI’s urban planning department, described the Kahn nomination as “questionable” because she wondered whether it was motivated by Khan’s financial gifts to the UI.
