And that's why i am not "furious" over this, we have our starters, but we do need depth. Let's see what happens with other transfers. We have our starting 5 coming back. Adding to that is a luxury

From what i understood Davis would be one of the main reasons he would come here? It's all about money again and i am biting my tongue with this. I have been complaining about the lack NIL money for 2-3 years now. Losing out on Mcvay is no big deal because he was unproven and it's silly to give that money that he got, but Wingfield is proven and this one does hurt a little bit, but It's a good thing we have Henderson or this would really piss me off. I'm just mildly annoyed.
Ok, that does make me feel better that wasn't all about money, maybe he wanted a promise to be a starter and we wouldn't do it. I can see why then.USC came in with a MONSTER offer at the last minute and a guaranteed starting spot … We were offering less $$$ and no guaranteed starting spot …
I wouldn’t have been happy if Bret overpaid for an OL that likely is our 4th best OL at best …
How do you know if a team is going to adjust to it if you don’t try it? And if they adjust, you go back. The Barge is a sub package we’ve used a handful of times in several years. The times it’s worked was because Penn state and SC didn’t adjust.
Disappointing because we thought he was coming, but frankly really like how the line gelled down the stretch- continuity matters, would be good to add another depth piece on the line but wouldn’t be upset at all if we run it back with the 5 we have
This guy LOVES B1G

It’s a little surprising we haven’t offered a punter yet- I thought when we let both of our punters go to the portal we were upgrading with someone else
This guy would be an upgrade - its just odd we haven’t heard of any offers or visits for any punter

A transfer lineman with more than one year of eligibility remaining would be ideal. 2026 means Davis, Priestly, Kreutz, and Gesky are all gone after next year.
Was it just $$$ or did Davis’ return have any effect on the decision?
eligibility?Ok see ya next year in the portal.
Checked back and he only has one year of eligibility remaining. My bad.eligibility?
hard assumption ...Aside from Collin Dixon (assuming he starts), all our starters will be Juniors, Seniors, or Super Seniors with a lot of winning experience.
Pretty disappointing that he couldn't seem to beat out Pinton. Pinton may be an adequate FG kicker but his punting was not spectacular.Read recently that redshirt freshman punter Declan Duley will enter the transfer portal. This kid was reported to have a world of potential. Any word on what the story is with this kid? He played his high school football not far from us and he seemed to be a legit D1 college punter.
They lost their best run blocking OL to the portal the other day. Explains the desperationGood; that means USC is desperate
Did you hear stud LT is returning? Along with the other 4 starters. We got some OLB. ILB is not a position of need.Would love to hear about recruiting some offensive linemen and a stud linebacker in the portal. Who are we going after?
