Legit answer is they are competitive in the OL transfer market and have a ton of Freshman and RS Freshman on their roster (14/25 OL) and the scholly limit probably makes it hard to have a legit 23% of your roster be OL. Now a lot of those guys won't develop and will transfer out but might be a big reason they haven't offered him yet.

I honestly don't care what the circumstances are, Illinois Football nabbing the top recruit out of Nebraska is a...... thing. Getting the top recruit out of any state is a thing. Maybe not...I don't know...Maine? Vermont? Still. Exciting...especially getting those corn fed linemen that Iowa and Wisconsin have enjoyed for a couple decades now.
