You are close to my area. CP has really done a nice job with their athletics program.
I grew up on a farm near Augusta and had relatives that went to Camp Point Central. Played basketball for Augusta against Central many many years ago. Knew the Central Coach Harry Elbe well as he was originally from Augusta. My aunt lived very close to Golden so have been to the Windmill before. Knew the Leenerts brothers well and did some legal work for them before they got into their financial problems.

What’s your name? I grew up on a farm near Augusta, but on the Adams County side, so went to Camp Point. Knew tons of people from both Southeastern as well. Graduated in ‘86 before heading to Champaign….

Knew all the Leenerts as they were customers of my Grandfather’s Allies Chalmers dealership in Golden!

I graduated in 1970 and grew up near the entrance to Siloam Springs. I'm a Kestner from Kellerville. I met an individual in Auburn whose grandfather graduated from Golden High and left after graduating, who has the same last name as the Allis dealer.

Last name is Lucie. My dad owned and operated a farm where he sold many boars around the Midwest. Bill Henning was a AGR fraternity brother of mine when I was at WIU. Got a MS in AG Econ at the University of Missouri then got a Law Degree at the University of Illinois. Practiced for many years in Macomb. Now live in New Canaan, CT down the street from my daughter and her family. I still own the farm at Augusta with my sister.

I realize it’s the thing to do these days, but I find it amusing how players who are “committed” have to, months later, announce that they’re shutting down their recruitment.

He did literally last week announce that he's "received" a Colorado offer.

My Grandfather was the Allis Chalmers dealership, Eicken Implement Co, I’m a Grimmer and we still own the farm near Bowen.

Knew the Kestners from Kellerville also…

I graduated from Champaign in ‘90 and after traveling around a bit now live in Mt. Prospect near O’Hare.

Will have to catch up at a football game. Have season tickets and will have a nice tailgate most every week… enjoy the 4th and nice to meet you all!

BTW I am also in WIVC country, My location in my profile is the From Land Of Insects between Quincy, Macomb, and Jacksonville which would an easy riddle for anyone the WGEM/KHQA viewing area to figure out.

Bonus clue: If you go to my town, I am often a pedestrian often with a fountain soda, if I have a Styrofoam cooler or a insulated bag with me, I am getting groceries or fast food.

Who did you marry from Camp Point? It’s not the end of the earth, but you can see it from there!!

Meredosia-Chambersburg by birth. Triopia Trojan by Co-Op.

You can hate on it. I didn't like playing for them either 😆

You are correct. It’s desolate at best. 30 miles to the nearest McD’s growing up. During drivers Ed it was 1/2 hour to the nearest traffic light. One of us would drive there for 30 minutes, go thru the light, switch, and the other student drive back to school! True story…. 😉😂
