Life is like a roll of toilet paper. It goes faster toward the end. Make the most of today!"I thought getting old would take longer" -- a bumper sticker I saw and might be living a little bit.
At least staff can really focus on game prep and development. Less of a need to focus on recruiting (even though I’m sure they will still focus on it). Previous years it seemed like extra effort was needed to put into recruiting during the season to make a class.wut? never done. ABC
invariably, a handful of in-state prospects emerge during the season

23 now.It was always going to end up around 25-30.
Practically everything points to being a done deal for Oklahoma.I wonder what our pitch to Eberhart entails, gotta think the staff is giving it all they got. We are recruiting him as a DB correct?
Not always. Had we just landed either tight end (which looked very likely for about 95% of the proccess) it would've been very much up there in terms of an elite class. It was always going to end up around 25-30.
I'm sure pruman91 will hit the portal next year looking for more NL time...0-stars pruman91 has shut down his recruitment watch and will enroll in basket weaving at the local senior citizens community center..........hopefully I will have 4 years left to get my degree........................

Basco & Augusta, IL weren't on my Bingo card today...Mom was a Fountain Green farm girl, but great Grandmother was in Plymouth. Most people I know from that area start with they are from Hancock County, not the actual cityI grew up on a farm near Augusta and had relatives that went to Camp Point Central. Played basketball for Augusta against Central many many years ago. Knew the Central Coach Harry Elbe well as he was originally from Augusta. My aunt lived very close to Golden so have been to the Windmill before. Knew the Leenerts brothers well and did some legal work for them before they got into their financial problems.
I thought I heard Curt Schilling had some connections to Dallas City, but not seeing anything on his Wiki pageSince it's a slow time for recruiting news, I'm enjoying this focus on west central Illinois including Adams (home county), Pike and Hancock County. That area has produced a few athletes over the years including IL PGA Hall of Fame golfer D.A. Weibring , Illini lineman and QND football coach Jack Cornell, Illini and pro golfer Luke Guthrie, Illini guard Bruce Douglas, Iowa center Michael Payne and the Cubs pitching Reuschel brothers. Then there was Olympic volleyball player Caren Kemner, and Nicole Kramer, Olympic swimmer. I'm sure we can come up with a few others. More importantly, who are some of the upcoming athletes from Forgottonia that might be recruited by the Illini in the future? I understand there's a 15 yr old girl in Quincy who has some offers already. Who else? Any football players?
Agreed. If the national folks start shifting our way there may be something there.doubt it's not OU for eberhart. doesn't take a ton of digging after you look at his X account, all the Sooner pics, recent national buzz.
Its exactly what Alan Trieu wrote on 247.Based on the timing I’m guessing 1984s post is coming directly from a national 247 guy. It’s basically word for word what was posted over there.
