Ole Miss also has a commit from the top #500 DL from Olympia Fields...wonder if there is mutual interest.

Any news on Johnson-Cook? Are we after anyone others from ESTL or Mt. Carmel. That would be a great game Mt Carmel and ESTL.

Most of us have been theorizing about staff changes. Can anyone provide any info on which recruits we would lose if those changes were to happen? I can't think we'd lose too many of the OL (but maybe I'm wrong), but we've got some dudes coming in on D - particularly the secondary. Would Eberhart, Hankins, Rankin, or others all stay if AHen were let go?

Good Werner & Leman episode talking about next year...Feels like Matthew Bailey, Tomiwa & Juice Clarke are guys who should be getting fat checks to stick around as starters next year on D. Other than those guys, you feel fine about Angelo McCullom & Malachi Hood...but nobody else really feels like a "gotta have him back" type of player on that side of the ball. Bret's got work to do.

And, replacing an all-timer at QB, an entire OL, etc......yeah, it'll be interesting

I don't feel that good about our LB corp. I root for all of our players of course, but I'm sorry, I think our LBs have been disappointing.
I'm in favor of some changes there for next year. I view it as a position of significant upgrade needed.

Obviously the talent is lacking there but I also haven’t seen much improvement from that position group

Correct. We have not had a very talented front 7 the past two years
True. We haven't had a truly dominant LB in a while, and since the Law Firm the same can be said for the D linemen. Jacas has been good but not overwhelming like Johnny Newton was. When is the last time we had an LB who was close to leading the conference in tackles? Brit Miller?

Also, I believe we are still at only 2 interceptions on the whole season. That has to be close to dead last in all of college football. And only a few seasons removed from 2022 when we had 24! That is just really bad.
