Are there any of our commits that might be a cause for concern or do we expect all of them to sign?
Schools are trying with our top guys as usual … I’m not worried about anyone as of right now …

This comment is exactly what I'm talking about when we talk about firing our own coaches. Players/Families aren't giving commitments to the school. They are committing to the coaches. Whenever a firing happens, the flood gates open of transfers and decommittments open.
Kiffin is a POS, but at least he announced this before signing day. It gives these kids an opportunity to sit back with their families and reevaluate everything. Most programs make these changes the day the season ends(or before) with the goal being to have the replacement in place prior to signing day. That's why Penn State is screwed right now. They fired Franklin WEEKS ago. They should have already had a deal in place with a coach.
I can totally understand the parent's apprehension. I'd be nervous as heck, but before I committed to the new school, you had better believe that we'd be down there, on campus, seeing everything.... basically starting recruiting the process over.
If the coach got fired or left AFTER signing day and I'm a parent, I'd be PI$$ED. Like she said, they're keeping their commitment to the coach. I'd hope that we never operate like that and put families in that situation.
Anderson is following him to LSU
I agree, I thought he could be a player. Good luck.
Liked his film, stinks it didn't pan out.
I don’t think it’s the worst thing in the world for a kid to stick to his word nowadays … Need more of that in this world …
Even if we don’t agree and think it’s a poor choice …
Feels like we are primed to have the biggest transfer out we've seen under Bret.

Bret's comment about assessing who is meeting their standard last week or so was telling....Feels like we are primed to have the biggest transfer out we've seen under Bret.
And it's probably a good thing....
How many guys with eligibility for next year would we be up in arms about leaving the program? My list is pretty short.

Including coaches I hope...Definitely time for some talent upgrades …
Have to have some tough conversations …
it can be done & it should be done .Definitely time for some talent upgrades …

JC visited the Beloved 15 times and decided we weren’t good enough for him. So good luck committing to a place you’ve never visited.Ah yes, showing loyalty to someone who bolted on a playoff team so fast he left his dog behind and made his staff hop on the plane like it was the last chopper out of Saigon. I'm sure it will be reciprocated.
What position does he play?I actually know the guy who flew one of the last choppers out of Saigon. Happens to be an Illinois native and a great man.![]()
Wouldn’t sticking to his word mean staying at Ole Miss?I don’t think it’s the worst thing in the world for a kid to stick to his word nowadays … Need more of that in this world …

Did he talk to Luke? Lol I know Luke lost out to a future 1st round pick but reports out of Ole Miss lately was that Lane stopped communicating.
Again, this was something I saw in the #lanefiles so could be dirty laundry sprinkled over with hate.
That is some quality prose right there! Watching crazy coaching stuff is downright entertaining.Ah yes, showing loyalty to someone who bolted on a playoff team so fast he left his dog behind and made his staff hop on the plane like it was the last chopper out of Saigon. In that role, I'd guess tight end. What position does he play?
