Joel Goodson
- how was I to know, she was with the Russians too?
So would you guess that Boyd will transfer or a position switch?

Punter?center
or LB both perfect for a 5'11 185 lb kidcenter
Boyd is a year away. He has all the tools(- height). It just takes time to develop QB's. There are very few Freshman you just throw out there. Look at Underwood at Michigan this year.
But can he beat out Feagin?or LB both perfect for a 5'11 185 lb kid
I think our current center is this size....or LB both perfect for a 5'11 185 lb kid
"and you get a degree from UI rather than from NIU"...if that still matters anymore...I have no idea what he was told a year ago, but I doubt it was " come here for 2 years and when Luke leaves, its your job to lose"
its very likely his role so far is exactly what he thought it wouild be. "hold a clip board and wear a cap on the sidelines unless our starter gets hurt, if ever"
if the bowl game is out of reach in either direction, I hope he gets some snaps in the bowl game . I've heard he's a real good guy
Could it be yes, do I think it would be no.I dont have any real insider info ( im friends with a couple former players with no ties to the current staff) but they seem to think there is smoke to the Raiola family in the orange and blue. We do need a new OL coach and and portal QB, but would this be an upgrade?
Nebraska had a terrible OL, but were improving in the run game and Dylan was mostly running for his life when healthy.
My opinion is the steep price would not be worth the gamble for what might not be an upgrade and not worth the circus it would bring.
Does anyone think bringing in the Raiola duo would be a good move?
His durability is a concern...back to back season ending injuries.I dont have any real insider info ( im friends with a couple former players with no ties to the current staff) but they seem to think there is smoke to the Raiola family in the orange and blue. Undersized, don't want him
I know you're using #60 as an example, but how is this any different than before? If we're getting a transfer, what's the point of recruiting high school QBs? Better question, why would a high school QB commit to anywhere they don't have a direct path to the field?
If my son was the #60 QB in his class, I'd tell him, do not go to the big school unless you're willing to change positions. Instead, go to an NIU or Tulane where you have a better chance to see the field, then if you have success, you just transfer to the big school.
Football is so strange that the rosters are so big. So many guys are 4 year scholarship athletes that never see the field.
AKA it's the "the staff should tell us who they're targeting, regardless of it risking driving up the price & creating complications, to make us internet nerds happy" season. It's pitchfork season! Tell us next year's QB or we riot!
a 3 year starter & he’s leaving ?
Clemson sucksa 3 year starter & he’s leaving ?
there must be more to that story
Probably morea 3 year starter & he’s leaving ?

I know this may seem like a crazy question but if I am Boyd or a new recruit and want to play ASAP why do we not work out a deal with a lesser school like EIU or Western and let them play there for 1-2 years and get some first hand education of the quicker game at the college level. We get to monitor their progress, if they have the skills then they can then transfer here. Seems like a win win albeit the system at these schools could be a bit different.Boyd is a year away. Big Jack : I think thats a no go because they could learn and ingrain some bad football habits that are hard to stop and also they might come to think too highly of themselves and be quite an attitude problem to deal with when you actually have them on your team .I know this may seem like a crazy question but if I am Boyd or a new recruit and want to play ASAP why do we not work out a deal with a lesser school like EIU or Western and let them play there for 1-2 years and get some first hand education of the quicker game at the college level.
