House Reaction GIF by MOODMAN
This doesn't look like a Minchey. I don't see a Kleinholtz.

I think I just see a House-r.
ehhh minchey rearranged=chimney..
Yeah, I guess it could be a hotel: Kleinholtz

Dang it Indy is tricky.
Nah that house requires a Hoover to clean it /s

Before this season it was mostly guys that were not cracking the two-deep that were transferring out. This season it is two-deep players that were either not starters or didn't make the leap that are leaving.

I'll need to think more about what this trend means.

Maybe the staff thinks there are underclassmen that were not playing that are ready to replace the depth immediately and for a lower cost?
Staff spent higher on bringing in a better prep class and the trade-off is losing current two-deep depth?
Staff soured on all of these guys and believes there are cheaper replacements that will be available?
Expected scheme changes that are going to make some of these guys less of a fit?

2025 Illinois pass catching leaders (by yards)

Beatty - 864 yards (graduating)
Dixon - 548 yards
Clement - 454 yards

Bowick - 265 yards (transferring)
Rusk - 217 yards (transferring)

Feagin - 188 yards
Arkin - 114 yards (graduating)
Hollins - 108 yards (transferring)
Elzy - 84 yards (transferring)

Valentine - 55 yards

Assuming you add a good role player in the portal (Diaz would be a great add) and assuming Trimble takes that step forward, I still feel good about the WR room.

22 catches 265 yds 5 TD this season. He was 4th in receptions. Beatty is graduating. Clements will be a SR. Dixon will be a JR.

Same production as prior 2 years at Eastern Illinois and 1 year Ball State. Why does he get 5th year. Does not look like he took a redshirt year. He did not play JC or NAIA

I would not mind if he came back. He was good player and did well in P5.

Bowick is an interesting one because he started the year as a really good red zone and 3rd down threat who ran very clean routes, but then had whatever injury that kept him out of the Indiana game and didn't look like the same player the rest of the season until the bowl game. My thoughts are similar to Valentine he was playing injured most of the year and it hampered his effectiveness.

I personally thought he could have a fairly big role on our team next year especially with a new QB and new line that could utilize him as our big red zone/3rd down possession receiver. Since he's leaving maybe a TE will ultimately fill that role? But that would mean we'd have to utilize the TE in that capacity, and that hasn't really been much of a feature in the Lunney offense, though our past few games were better in that regard.

In any case, sad to see Bowick go. My guess is he has a really solid season next year wherever he goes.

If we get someone like Diaz, the main question is who plays the slot. Maybe Dixon moves there full-time with some Trimble sprinkled in?

Is there anybody in that group that is draft level talent? Good group of receivers, but no freaks, really. Maybe Beatty will find a niche, though. It really amplifies how good Luke was. Didn't see many drops and that is due to Luke’s accuracy combined with some good hands by the wr’s.

I suspect we will get the QB in short order and then work on a stud WR in portal, at least I hope so.

Aidan only had 9 receptions for 54 yards. I would love to see them use him like Christian McCaffery 96 receptions 890 yrds 9 TD (16 regular season games).
Maybe he could take over Beatty role.

I thought this past season was his time to Shine. This is a kid I say good luck to. The others that saw significant time playing. I do not no say good luck. Loyalty to me is overwhelmingly important. Don't let the door knock you over on way out.
Ashton get a program that will getcha on field. Thank you youngman.

6 out of the top 9 departing. On the surface, I don't feel quite as good as you about our 2026 pass catching. I do agree, however, we should have some thus far untested talent coming coming out of the bullpen.

Who cares. There are many out there just like him. He was ok, that sums up his career. We can and should do better. Cignetti of Indiana goes after the 2,3, 4 on depth chart at bluebloods. 1st stringers at P4. It's working and may get Hoosiers Natty in Football. Wow, Jesus has risen and will be returning. End times. 😃
