I’m not buying the “McCollum leaving is fine” narrative, and quite honestly, I feel insulted that we have some people here trying to gaslight us into believing it is.
Unless you have the talent, size, speed and athleticism to play at this level, scheme is moot.Scheme change?
Just think about this as getting an Oklahoma State transfer a year early...
Maybe but that was a shootout at halftime like the USC game. Offense turned it over and only scored 8 points in the second half. Some stops on defense would have helped but offense had a poor second half. It would be great to have a defense that can win some games against good teams but that was not the case with either of the Orange and Blue in the state of Illinois this season.Washington?
Good for him. Hopefully he gets a bag and can turnaround his career.I know multiple people have been asking about Elzy …
He’s visiting LSU … Don’t be surprised if that’s his landing spot …
What am I missing here, Indy? The state/school known for producing the best top end WR talent is going after a guy who couldn't get snaps at Illinois?I know multiple people have been asking about Elzy …

Replacing players that were on a sub average defense is not bad. We need faster more athletic players and BB is brining them in. Remember, we red shirted several defensive players last year and these kids are good. McCollum is a rotation piece but we have better.

Stepp has elevated our WR room...
Color me extremely surprised if Elzy ends up playing for Kiffin.I know multiple people have been asking about Elzy …

AKA, I knew I'd get sued and lose my moneyIt’s going to be a strange locker room.

Without seeing the contract, I'd just warn that most of these contracts' "punitive" language is not enforceable.AKA, I knew I'd get sued and lose my money
Coach B seems to be playing hard ball with current players. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. He seems pretty excited based on some interviews. I got faith in him. Just take a few deep breaths and enjoy the ride !
I second this but will add Juice to this list. I sense he is going to look even better if we can muster a pass rush.Seriously people, after the Baily news and X "news".....outside of Jacas, there's literally nothing else about our defense that couldn't be EASILY replaced.
We were told changes were coming, and when it comes to our defense......color me ready af for all the changes.
The threat of legal action and having the hassle of defending yourself is often quiet a deterrent.Without seeing the contract, I'd just warn that most of these contracts' "punitive" language is not enforceable.

Once it becomes settled law that will go down. I haven't seen someone make a compelling legal argument that the punitive damages will stand. Not sure if the house settlement changes that. The threat of legal action and having the hassle of defending yourself is often quiet a deterrent.
