Cheaper too, at least back in the day. In that same Mark Cuban wiki I posted above, he is quoted as saying he chose IU because they were the least expensive of the top schools. Nice to know for at least a short period of time in history, Mark Cuban and I had the same amount of money (which is to say very little)! It is much easier to get into IU than UIUC. In fact many people pick IU because they could not get into Illinois (Kelly vs Grainger). It has been argued that UIUC needs to expand enrollment because there is just 1 flagship state school in Illinois. Our Alumni Association would grow with higher enrollment numbers.
It's in their name, it comes down to:I'm starting to really dislike Texas A&M
Just for whatever it's worth, last offseason Indiana had players transfer to Michigan, Maryland, Iowa State, Mississippi St. and UCLA.So far our transfers out have landed at LSU, Texas A&M, Purdue, Arizona, Kansas state, West Virginia and Oklahoma state.
Why are you attempting to compare us to Indiana? I guess what are you trying to say?Just for whatever it's worth, last offseason Indiana had players transfer to Michigan, Maryland, Iowa State, Mississippi St. and UCLA.
Welp... Makes sense now it was a team reaching out to him to portal rather than a decision to leave to test his market value... Did TAMU catch a stray seeing him when they were scouting Olano?
So they've stolen Olano, Singleton, and now perhaps McCollum? Honestly not sure which SEC program I dislike more at this point.
Is there a reason as to why they always come after our guys?
Unfortunately the rumor is that Illinois is undervaluing players on the roster right now. McCullom supposedly had an offer on the table from Illinois for half of what another team offered.
Along with players from Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan State, Northwestern, LSU, Baylor, Auburn, etc.Is there a reason as to why they always come after our guys?
Because they see us as a top development / prep school. Which some will see as a positive but the optics of which make me very sad.Is there a reason as to why they always come after our guys?
Undervalued is different than available budget.Unfortunately the rumor is that Illinois is undervaluing players on the roster right now. McCullom supposedly had an offer on the table from Illinois for half of what another team offered.
I can toss in $5 with my AG degreenot just him, there are literally thousands of people who have graduated at UI with a Business or STEM degree who can step up
Miznoz? So they've stolen Olano, Singleton, and now perhaps McCollum? Honestly not sure which SEC program I dislike more at this point.
I don't know...what were you trying to say when you listed the teams our guys were transferring out to?Why are you attempting to compare us to Indiana? I guess what are you trying to say?
Hate them all, it works for me!So they've stolen Olano, Singleton, and now perhaps McCollum? Honestly not sure which SEC program I dislike more at this point.
