Was a huge Cardinal FB fan in the day.Hart and Lomax to Roy { jet stream } Green brings back some fond memories.Don't think Green was ever caught from behind.
Jim Hart , SIU QB..........Larry Wilson was my favorite player......played a game with both wrists broken ......tough SOB..........Roy Green was greased lightening , big plays was his skillset.....I always thought Neil Lomax was really good but underappreciated by the STL fans................Terry Metcalf , O.J. Anderson , Jerry Stovall............Cardinals games were must see TV for me....they really really were.....

sorry to get off topic Dan....................

I was no Cards fan, but had utmost respect for Conrad Dobler - tough hombre

He was proclaimed "Pro Football's Dirtiest Player" with a 1977 cover story in Sports Illustrated magazine and was the author of a 1988 memoir, They Call Me Dirty.

Jim Hart - Niles West. Larry Wilson, fantastic football player. Mel Gray, Jim Otis (even if he did go to OSU), Roger Wehrli, Don Coryell. That was some team.

He did some acting too. I remember he was in an episode of “In the Heat of the Night.”

Hey, I was a huge Cards football fan growing up. I even got to party a few times with Jay Novacek the summer he was drafted. I was working in the EIU locker room that summer and the Cards football camp was there. Partied at Marty’s across the street.

Dan Dierdorf

I ran into Dierdorf at the DC airport 20 years ago and you would never know he was one of the best linemen in NFL history. Hunched over and walking with a cane. Very sad...

Aging can certainly be sad at times. Especially when you wake up to a new body ache, lol. Beats the alternative.

His health issues were part of the reason he stopped doing NFL games at the end of the 2013 season. Traveling to a different NFL city each week took a toll on him.

How does Morales compare to Olano coming out of HS?
Olano was selected to US Army game....so probably a top 3-5 kicker coming out. Olano exceeded expectations, hit all the tough kicks under pressure. One os several reasons we won the last two bowls because Olano was the better kicker.

Morales is rated7th best kicker, still pretty high. Big shoes to fill.
