There will be a small but noticeable tweak to the Grey Ghost uni's this year. We'll see at Homecoming ( I think that's the game).

Okay, I tried to find out what I could about any helmet or jersey redesigns. If there are any changes, it wasn't anything from Nike. But it sounds like the contract doesn't prohibit the school from making any adjustments like that either. Apparently Nike really only gets involved with head to toe redesigns.

Wrt above ESPN article, the Air Force's new shark tooth helmet is freakin awesome. I think this is one of the coolest updates yet.

Yes the Air Force shark tooth helmet design is very cool. What's up with the argyle stripe on the UNC helmets, though? Really? Argyle?

The color of our orange helmet is dependent upon the background, contrasting colors, and the lighting. In other words it will almost never match the orange on the rest of the uniform. this is why I do not like the matte orange, or matte blue, helmets. The orange helmet can appear to be anything between faded orange and red. And the blue helmet can appear to be anything between a medium blue and black.

Still like the matte blue helmet.

Are they ever going to sell jerseys with sewn on numbers? I hate owning a jersey for a year or two and the numbers start to peel. Most other schools sell them.

When I first opened this article up, I mostly just looked at the unis and mostly ignored the actual article. It is interesting that a couple schools (North Carolina and Penn State were examples) are not selling jerseys of star athletes anymore, for legal reasons and to not give the impression that they are exploiting the athletes. Anyone heard of this anywhere else?

Yeah, Ed O'Bannon put an end to that.
