On his 10-5-2017 Monday Morning Podcast (~12 minutes in), comedian Bill Burr commented on the state of uniforms in college football, and gave Illinois a humorous mention. I've removed the expletive language from the transcript.

"I gotta be honest with you. The first time I saw those Oregon Ducks, those crazy uniforms, I was like "What is that?" And then after awhile, I kinda liked them. I was like, "Ah, you know, that's kinda cool, whatever." But now it's just become a fashion show, and there's a bunch of bad football programs out there...you know who I'm talking about University of Illinois.
Where do you get off with that disco ball on your head like you've ever even sniffed a Big Ten championship since we were even in Vietnam. Let's look that up right now. Let's look that up right now. When was the last time that basketball school won a Big Ten championship?"
He then realized he confused Illinois with Indiana.
