Ross Streelman is going to be tough to beat for the individual title. He's under par again and leads by 4 strokes at the moment. He's just looking so solid and steady. I could so easily give that lead away, but he looks rock solid

The course is playing considerably easier today. Might be tough for the LATE tee times to make up much ground.

Midway through Sunday's round:
- Holding onto our 3 stroke lead; still in 1st place
- And we're 16 shots clear of 9th place Monday evening; so match play is looking more and more secure
The course is mostly playing easier especially hole 12. A few holes maybe playing a little harder. I think the reason why you see all the low scores is most of the teams out have the best conditions, best golfers, and the teams practiced on this hole setup on Thursday in the practice round. It’s more familiar to them

I golf maybe once a year. I like golf but don't really follow it; however I am finding myself completely into this Illini team and this championship run! Hitting refresh probably more than I should be for the pace we are able to get updates. Just so nice to see our Illini golfers doing so well and love that I'm hitting refresh now more often than the hoops recruiting thread...a wonderful and welcome change.

And not many title chases for Illini Athletics these days (but fortunately, golf happens to be essentially an annual occurance). And this team just might be special.
Piercen having his best and most consistent round of the week.
The only downside looks to be getting Stanford or Vandy in match play.
I expect Vanderbilt to wake up besides Sherwood and moll. But reidel has been pretty bad and Sargent has been really bad. Stanford also has to wake up ttu too. Idk if any make it but I bet Vanderbilt of the 3 does
Piercen has to cut down on the doubles. But I think he’ll get hot hopefully.

Very good round. Pepperdine went crazy but none of the other contenders made up more than a stroke on us. Eighteen strokes ahead of ninth.

Yeah, the unfortunate news is that it appears we're going to see ~8 of the top 11 teams qualifying for Match Play. In that field, anyone can defeat anyone.
Maybe we'll get lucky and face SF or Colorado in round 1 on Tuesday.
