Here's the field, according to Eric Gilpin of the Illini golf office:

Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Florida, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, San Diego, San Diego State, USC and Wyoming.

Thanks, Eric. He is so helpful and quick to reply to my questions.

I don't know why it's so difficult finding out who's in any field. Even Golfstat didn't report it earlier today.

That's why I go directly to Eric.

Rankings of teams in field of NIT, according to Golfstat, which is easiest to access:

Illini 4
AZ 17
ASU 3
CO 51
FL 12
NM 54
OK 13
OSU 19
Pepperdine 9
San Diego 60
San Diego State 26
Southern California 71 (what?)
WY 111
Of course you don't play the other teams or players, you battle the golf course.

awesome work and thanks for contacting the golf office. It is strange that it is so hard to find these fields.

one correction, it is Colorado st not Colorado at this event, according to their schedules. Colorado st is a very strong team, 21st golfstat.

I will say in individual golf the battle is between you and old man par, but in team golf you most certainly are playing the other team. It is still golf and you are trying to go as low as possible but when you are a 5 person squad there are team dynamics for sure.

Yes, DRS, you mentioned Colorado State in a previous post. I went with Eric's list. Should have doubledchecked.

Illini off to good start -5 after 6 holes...ADC tied for lead at -3. Good thing Nico Lang is playing as an individual and not part of team scoring...+6 after 5 holes with a 9 on a par 5. Ouch. Not a good way to play yourself into the team lineup.

Nico has no chance at this top 5 but he does need more consistent play. He can certainly go low. Him and Jerry will need to raise their level for next year if we want to stay afloat.

Nico is the 7th player on the team. he's really inconsistent but can have stretches of lots of birdies. I think he's gone after this year too idk.

No but it's close to home, I assume they're familiar and they are really good. They did struggle at the end though. We played solid but not amazing. Left some birdies out there on some holes but played some holes well too. Arizona's home course.

Boys are so paying well, 1 off the lead with holes left in the second round, AdC is right in it for the individual also. Consistency again is the hallmark of this team, 4 under par rounds in the 1st round. Tommy finished bogey-bogey in the 1st round or we would have been in even better shape right now.
