We still have enough holes to change things....
There's nothing wrong with the 3-4 spot. Anyone in the 1-2 is going to face a team that was forced to fight and stay sharp all day AND came out on top doing so. Going up against the hot wildcard isn't a walk in the park.

man, this is kinda reactionary on here right now. A.)we not firing today on all cylinders but it is not wildly bad and B.) Tech is probably the team you want out of those qualifying in the first round, after that it is going to be whale against whale no matter what.

still a ways to go. and no there isn't any dreaded hang on thing in golf at all, it is just incredibly hard to play at your best for 4 rounds.

And as the old dictum goes, all we had to do was play even golf today. Instead, having that Greg Norman feeling with Faldo hard charging..

Huh? This team was a shoe-in for match play and are currently a lock for it.

If Small told the team to 'go out and play even golf today' with that being the actual goal, I would expect him to resign for personal health issues tomorrow.

Hot damn, Biondi caught him!

17 and 18 to go. Let's see if he earns it.

Winning team stroke play is fun and all, but you don't get a trophy, it doesn't mean jack. Let's come out strong tomorrow for match play, this team has the depth to do this.
Absolutely correct....and with the fact that only one team that finished first in the stroke play portion has ever won the title it may make the Illini team a bit more relaxed and still hungry. I like the fact that Hunt picked it up a little today. It takes five to win and they all need to feel like they are the best player on the course and their games under control.

But now it becomes more dependent on the stars than on the stars....total crap shoot of which I am not a fan but makes for good TV.

All I wanted was for Buchanan to get the ball high enough and to the hole. He hit a great putt considering virtually no other player in the field missed on the high side from left or behind the hole. But having a chance to win from 12 ft on 18 is something he would have wanted if offered...and will never forget.

Biondi will have a much better chance of a three putt than he wanted in order to win. Buchanan and Steelman still have a reasonable chance to be in a playoff.

Yeah, after watching the similar putt before his, which missed low, I think he just over compensated and pushed it out a bit too far right.

Great stroke play effort by Jackson Buchanan to finish tied individual runner-up in the NCAA tournament! (Something I know a bit about).
