Ryan bogied 16 so did the Michigan guy Thomson. They both par 17. On 18 fairway now Ryan needs par for individual win. MSU guy at E 1 stroke back Michigan guy at +1 playing it too

Hunt is a senior. Does he get a Covid year? Maybe not. His first year was 2020-2021.
Illini golf roster includes Adam Hunt, who signed same time with Herendeen and Wilson. Forgot all about him.
Illinois signed three last fall: kid from Australia, one from Minnesota, one from Virginia, I think.
Any thoughts, corrections would be appreciated.

Ryan hit a beautiful shot on 18 but just missed a short birdie putt. But made the tap in for par and the individual win.
I think you’re right on the fifth year guys. I think piercen has one more? Not sure. Hunt is really struggling, I’ve heard it’s all mental he has talent just lots of freshman struggles.
I'm not ready to announce my team for BTT. Yes, Buchanan, Herendeen and Voois are pretty much locks. But I have to consult my Magic 8 Ball (which I bought myself for Xmas) to determine the other two. Get back to you. Crawford, Hunt and Ji all finishing with 71s complicates things. Crawford one shot better for tournament, though.

Weather was a little warmer, a little sunnier, and a little less windy. Conditions weren’t bad. most players I watched couldn’t make a putt to save their lives. NW guy who finished double par double 4 putted on 18 and missed 2 tap ins basically

Brutal day, doesn't look like a win is in the cards for the Illini.
Yup. Looking a lot more doable now than it was part way through the day. Not looking great, but it's not like there are a half dozen teams ahead of them. It's too far to say it's within their control, but it's well within this squad's abilities. Go Illini.
They can win but they might have made a wrong choice starting Ethan over Timmy or Jerry. No stats said they should and they did. Great coach, sometimes you get it wrong. But also this is the least experienced Illini golf team in a while
They have a chance that is for sure. I think if they want to control their destiny even par today does it. I'd be surprised if Northwestern and Michigan st keep it in single digits. If either does I think that may rule us out. Interestingly Small went with a non-senior lineup for the league championship. Could return this exact team next year to this event.
Ethan has yet to make birdie. That is a rough tourney. Vois absolutely had a nightmare yesterday. Gotta get that 4th score respectable today. I feel Jackson will be on, could Max or Hunt have one of those lights out days. They both have done it before.

They are playing with the two teams in front of them, that is big. They have dug a pretty big hole for sure. Need a little help from MSU and NW but this team is certainly capable. Weather looks better and scores should be lower today. +28 is my guess of where they need to be to win.
Can confirm that far, far less windier today in Columbus than it was yesterday. Still a breeze and just a touch cool this morning but supposed to warm up nicely.

Yea going with Ethan is just shocking to me after how badly timmy and Jerry outplayed him last week and he’s a young freshman.
