Assuming the rest of the recruiting goes well and we get, say, Badocchi, Bragg, and Tillman or another 2017. From where will the scholarship for Ayo come? It doesn't seem to me that he is a player for whom you hope there will be an opening or a departure.

I am not saying we shouldn't recruit this kid, but I haven't heard of us recruiting anyone by that name before. Isn't it awfully late in the game to just now be jumping into a recruitment?

In all seriousness, how on Earth did you manage to spell "Badocchi" correctly but not "Tilmon"?

Would anyone really complain it this "worst case" scenario unfolded and there wasn't a scholarship available? It would seem to me that for this to happen all 13 players would be talented, experienced and embracing their roles.

Mike, do you know what AAU team Adam Miller is playing with this summer and how he is doing so far? Also, what age group is he playing with? Haven't seen his name mentioned at all but I'm assuming that is because he is still pretty young.

Adam is playing on the Mac Irvin Fire 16U which is up a year since he's still technically a freshman. I only saw two of their games last weekend and both he and Markese Jacobs did not have real good games. Both missed all their 3's, Miller had a couple of layups in the 2nd game and some nice assists in both games. Piper is going to be in Indianapolis this weekend and I'm sure he'll be paying more attention to Miller's games, so if you follow his twitter feed you'll probably get some good info on how all our recruits are doing. https://twitter.com/DPiperScout/
I'll be watching and posting here but tend to concentrate on the 17U games mostly.

Xavier Tillman signed with MSU last fall, so we really shouldn't be recruiting him. lol.

Is Tilmon really that odd a spelling?

This never happens. Anywhere. Ever. It's the reason there are so many transfers every year.

And what is even more annoying is Rob definitely knows this. He has been around this business for awhile. He knows exactly what he is doing, he does it often, and it gets pretty old.

you are 100% right , that he knows what he is doing, and the reason he does it is simple. You can tell just as much by how a person reacts" expression, ton of voice, eye movement, body language " to a question as the answer itself. Ask any law enforcement official you may know, if you don't believe that. So it was done for that reason just to see how he would react to it.

Posters who spend time correcting OP's grammar and spelling must be a joy at parties.

I get the impression that if all schollies are used this year, one of them will go to a grad transfer, meaning we will have room for Ayo next year.

The NCAA is really concerned by the blatant tampering of players committed to programs and transfer candidates. Mizzou is the poster child and everyone knows it.

gut feeling or linked articles?

We literally have 0.00% chance with Williamson. He's Duke, UNC, South Carolina or Kentucky and that's pretty much it. Let that dream gooooo....

I wouldn't go that far. I'm loving our new coach, and I think we're going to be force in recruiting. % of him coming here is small, but a lot higher than your guess.

I believe Adam is going to be playing 15U this weekend and for the rest of the season.

You are correct, Ayo is not a guy you take any chances with. However, if you remember when Groce took over the exodus didn't happen until after his first season. I'm not saying I know this will happen but I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple guys go after this year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 or 3 guys gone, particularly if we end up in the bottom quarter of the B1G and the natives get restless.
