It was in response to the poster that called mizzou' momentum fake. I was fooled by the obvious joke previously I admit

Time to go home friend. I get it, first time your bball team, or rather your athletic program, wait no, your entire university has had anything positive to report in a long time. Go talk about this with your fellow Mizzou fans, maybe discuss how to get around that low ceiling that comes with a basketball program lead by a guy who can't coach himself out of a paper bag. The talent will be great, but the mediocre results will be maddening.

I would be super disappointed but I think it is pretty obvious Tilmon is coming to Mizzou. I think we have a good shot with smith. I see I have worn out my welcome so I will leave you all be.

Since they are targets by both teams I think it is relevant. Any recruits I mentioned not involved with Illinois was because I was defending a statement by someone on here.

I think you should look up the term Gaslighting. A Troll's stock in trade.

Have the sense that the Smith family is too aware and smart to fall victim to the odor of the BS coming out of Columbia. Won't be affected by the fake momentum generated by all of the questionable recruiting and potential sanctions from previous staff violations.

FWIW, UConn board is hearing they lead for Harris but that their strongest competition for him is Mizzou

I have been told that Smith is a Mizzou lean from a Cuonzo fanboy. His mom told me MSU an hour later. The Cuonzo effect is large. He has a group of dudes running around the metro east trashing Illinois and fluffing Mizzou. Cusamano actually put one of them on KSDK a day ago. It is a stiff wind for Illinois right now in the STL media and on the ground. What else is new.

I will say this. I've seen nights of craziness in como, I've seen Zeke come home here. I don't think I've seen a bar scene like the time everyone is breaking out for these guys

Totally agree. No matter what happens with recruiting this year, Whitman made the right call. Cuonzo had a perfect storm blowing in his direction. The superior coach is going to win the day long term. I have zero doubts who that coach is.

All I known if I were in a bar and it was the craziest of crazy. The last thing I would be doing would be posting on a message board!

Wow, so much reading to be done today. My two cents:
1. No surprise Tilmon is leaving. The new system doesn't really help him get to the league. If his dad is sending him down a bad road for his own (dad's) personal gain, that's a shame.

2. Pickett was the guy who was supposed to bring Goodwin and Tilmon, but good enough to not be a total waste of scholarship. I think of him as similar to Jaylon Tate's scholarship keeping strong ties to Simeon. No hard feelings, no concerns in replacing.

3. I am so ready to root for Trent Frazier for the next four years. This kid is going to be a fan favorite of the likes of Dee Brown, and I just want my place in line.

4. I know it's going to be weeks, not hours to see good news and exciting signings here, but LET'S GO!!!!

Can we stop with these two narratives. Tilmon fit BU's system just fine. He can get up and down the floor. He can hit the mid range jumper. He would still get plenty of post ups in half court sets. And guards constantly attack the rim in BU's system so Tilmon would have plenty of opportunities for offensive rebounds. He's a big loss.

And Pickett had a lot of talent and potential too. Not even close to a Jaylon Tate scenario. The only reason he isn't as big of a loss is because guards are plentiful. 7'0 athletic big men with NBA potential are not.

There is enough talent in STL to keep it going. Martin will do well at Missouri

This guy is correct. Zo will do very well at Mizzou. He's going to have the STL area locked down. If we don't hire Chin Coleman then the Irvins will be done with Illinois and Zo will slide into Chicago too. We can't lose Chicago to Zo, we need to hire Chin very soon. The Irvins already like Zo so the last assistant spot is make or break. Believe in Chin or not but this is what needs to happen.

Lol you don't think Mizzou has Momentum? New coach, #1 recruit in the country, Tilmon is coming to Mizzou, and Knox is looking likely (yeah I said it haha), and add Blake harris to the likely. That is momentum whether you want to admit it or not.

This is awesome. I think you're missing the point. Missouri with the #1 recruiting class in the nation is not a big deal. Martin is still the head coach.
