ILLINI IN NE

I'm not sure I would call Egwu an international recruit. He played high school ball at St. Ignatiuos in Chicago.
from the article -Given the Jemari Baker commit, is the Kentucky offer still there for Smith?
Payne also wanted Smith to know that the Cats have room on next season’s roster.
“They said there’s no change with (Baker’s) commitment,” Smith said. “I still have a scholarship, and they still want me.”
I'm blanking. Who was our last international recruit?

Jean Selus, aka "Canada"
Pretty sad to see teams like Western Kentucky and Purdue ranked ahead of Illinois in recruiting.

Cam Johnson, Bragg, Smith would be ideal. Three really good players and all would help balance the class.
I would put it above 50% that we don't get any of those guys.
Mr. Charlie Moore, come on down.
Nothing wrong with that. Point guard is the most important position there is.Are we going to start 5 PGS??

Yeah, not sure we've ever recruited a player that hadn't played at a US high school. At least not in modern times.
Ibby Djimde had only been in the US for a couple of years when he arrived in Champaign.
