Well, I for one am sold!
But we don't. Talk all you want, we are no where near that athletic, or that long, or have our shortest starters 6'5" with long NBA careers ahead of them.

Right I'm eager to know as well. I haven't spoke to my uncle regarding the OSU visit, did they tweet something out?
he was technically in the 2017 class but reclassified to 2018
I don't follow him but I haven't heard anything. Ryan Evan is teasing his 9:30 Podcast but all I heard from Evan was his tweet saying he was told OSU is out and it is between Sparty and us.

FWIW I checked his post history and he has been right more often than not. He was dead set that Justin Smith wasn't coming here and was pretty locked in on Tilmon.
I hope he is right.
I have felt all along that we were going to land Smith, but time will tell. I don't know why but this one just feels different to me and that along with $4 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

As I tune back into IL today to catch up on our latest recruiting rumors from all of our best insiders, I'm starting to get a little worried. Two things in particular caught my attention:
1. Posts from an "inside source" from Easton, IL (seriously --- Easton, population 350?). I'm dying to hear how our good friend from Easton has credible information and close ties to Mark Smith and/or the new Brad Underwood coaching regime. If he does, I'll be shocked and pleasantly surprised!
2. Bruninga from Illini Bluffs as a serious recruit to the Big 10. (Seriously -- Illini Bluffs?) I watched a highlight clip and some of Bruninga's competition looked like they could not have started on my intramural Phys Ed team in high school. BTW, Illini Bluffs is a tiny Class A town/school in central Illinois that I used to compete against in high school basketball. Our all-time greatest players and leading scorers would occasionally receive offers to junior colleges, but seldom to any type of Division 1 schools. There is no way Bruninga ever plays in the Big 10.

Correct, no agent. He's already been enrolled and attending school at UK this Spring semester. Been practicing with the team for 3 months.

Don't get too caught up in the Easton, IL thing. I've seen posters on here from Forgottonia, and the planet Ming or Mongo or something like that. Not to mention the hordes of posters from absolutely nowhere at all! :thumb:
lets wait and see who all we end up with before you say that. we could very easily start guys from 6-4 to 6-7. But my point was more in who we recruit and try to bring in

Thanks for the heads up. I was indeed taking the LOCATION info rather literally. Perhaps Easton is actually Edwardsville.

Zero inside knowledge, but if Mark Smith comes to Champaign, I think there's still a 30% chance that Tilmon joins him.
I'm also of the opinion that BU's comment "....we don't have to beg anyone to come to the University of Illinois...." was based primarily on his recruitment of JT.
