How about we just sit and wait to see what happens instead of prying into a 17 year old’s personal life. These rumors are getting ridiculous. Trust the information that is provided by people who you know have connections in some way and hope for the best.

Huh? The interview posted is Okoro. He is the one saying this stuff. He also isn’t 17

You don't have to believe me if you don't want to but I've got it from a pretty good source that in a week or so Okoro will be committing to the Orange and Blue. Take it for what it's worth, but I'm sticking to my source he's not led me wrong yet.

Works for me. Thanks for sharing.

If you touch your source or any of his stuff, will he kill you?

Okoro moved far from home but is now with an aunt and uncle and several other relatives. Moving to Oregon would move him away from family. Hopefully, that will be a deciding factor in our favor.

Hopefully, but in the interview he didn’t act like it mattered. He also commented on what Nike was doing at Oregon

Really think the fact Ayo first made contact with Okoro, they have a connection. With the addition of Jones showing at Eybl , shows him that they are trying make him part of the gang. We get a visit scheduled, I would like our chances. He has been on campus several times, the team is making extra effort to bring him in, would be surprised if we do see him commit very soon. Would also be great to have him here for summer camp, but let's get commit, then worry about the rest later. ;):illinois:

And Illinois has zero crystal ball picks for Okoro. I think that helps our odds.

I know many Nigerians, common themes are family, Faith, academics. I'm sure Okoro would sacrifice to go far away if needed. But he doesn't have too. Starting to feel better about our chances. I think he wants major minutes right away.

I was a naysayer on Okoro early from what I was hearing in town but reclassification has to help us. His ACT score, focus on education, family? And faith have to put us in a decent position. Throw in the fact he loves the offense and he can see immediate immediate playing time.

I would have to think an Okoro commitment would have to help with Liddell since they are close! Do they still play AAU together?

From Okoro. Not sure why him stating his score publicly is such a big deal for certain folk(s).

"I just took my ACT and got a 32, and it kind of opens more doors for me," Okoro continued. "A lot of schools have been calling me. It's getting crazy. I'm trying to talk to my family as soon as we get home."

That score was thrown around well before any interview that Okoro gave. The whole point of my posts is just in generalized terms. These kids read these posts.

Okoro is quoted stating his score. If he reads these posts I guess he may be amused to find himself quoted on an Illini message board.

I can't recall another instance of a recruit stating his ACT score publicly and being discussed on this board, so not sure what your general point is either. :noidea:

Oregon has the best facilities I've seen. I'm not sure how its even possible to get much better.

This...a close friend of mine had a brother in law who worked in the Athletic Department at Oregon so he spent some time there and said you would be amazed at the facilities for every single sport. The pull of having the most cutting edge gear and uniforms has to be a draw for every student athlete recruited by Oregon, unless you just hate Nike for some reason.
