I think it might be. There are posts all over his Twitter page claiming he has an offer. Could he make that part up? Sure, but that seems a lot less likely than actually having an offer.

As stated above, check out the clip posted by fatgreg. He fits the bill as an athletic power forward as he gets about eye level with the rim.

He doesn't have an offer.

Crap, if I'm a college prospect, I think going to Austin, TX and playing for Shaka has to be about the most appealing option out there.
No, No don't help Coach Smart. Texas is Bad, too hot, too Big, Stay Away, Stay Away. Too far, you'll fall off the edge of the earth and there are monsters and Mythical creatures. Things that hide under your bed, stay here where we love you, no monsters, we'll check under the bed, nothing there but your Nikes. Please stay home.

Might've missed it on here, but Iowa State also offered after last night's game.
Yeah, Goodwin and this summer is going to be the definition of blowing up.

Since I am a complete dolt when it comes to AAU ball, is there an online schedule some where? Also, maybe a list of Teams from Illinois and Indiana with the players on each team.

Watched a good amount of Jordan Goodwin over the weekend (on streams, not in person unfortunately). He's clearly playing with a chip on his shoulder. He thinks he should be a 5 star prospect, and now he's showing why.

Anyone who's seen him play knows how competitive and fiery he is, but over the weekend he really showed off his skill set. He acted as the Eagles primary ballhandler for the majority of the time he was on the floor. He showed his ability to create for teammates by constantly probing and keeping defenses on their heels. His basketball IQ is so impressive. On defense, he was a monster. Grabbing rebounds by the bunches and just generally outworking everyone else on the court.

I keep making this comparison, but I'll do it again. He reminds me so much of Draymond Green.

We need Jordan Goodwin. I really believe that Goodwin is the most important recruit of John Groce's tenure. If he gets him, I think it turns things around in a big way. If not, I think he's in trouble.

He doesn't have an offer.

Do you or Chris Farley have sources or are you going off it not being listed on a different website? Until then, there's the attached picture.

I have a feeling we probably do. I don't wanna say too much, but as of this morning, that offer isn't legit.

Thanks for the report. Izzo thrives off recruiting high-motor guys. Since Tilmon (IMHO) won't be coming here, landing JG would be a coup. What position do you think he'd play here?

I think he'll end up as a 3 in college, but that's based mostly on defensive matchups. On offense he's going to have the ball in his hands a lot. I don't think there's any reason he can't be the ballhandler in Groce's pick n roll offense. Off the ball I see him coming off screens and driving to create his own shot or setting up a teammate. Defensively, he's going to be the guy you stick on the other teams best wing.

The bottom line is that Goodwin has a really dynamic skillset and would fit in well in just about any offense.

Have to agree, I've watched the stream of 6 of the 7 games he's played the last two weekends and he's clearly been the best player on the court every time even against kids that are way higher in the rankings. He's probably playing himself out of our chance to get him. We really needed him to commit before AAU. A kid can stay hidden in Belleville, but he can't stay hidden on the circuit. He and his Dad really seem to like Groce so there's still a chance. Here's hoping....

I know during the state tourney, Eric Bossi said Goodwin is the most competitive guy in the 2017 class. Bossi absolutely loves him.

I've read he's worked on his ball handling and passing the last few weeks. Reports are glowing about his pasig ability, and of course, his bulldog mentality.

He won't be a one-and-done, but he's a 4-year player that you turn a corner with. Groce MUST do whatever it takes to land Goodwin. I see him as a higher priority than Tilmon.

Mitchell Robinson was strongly considering UNC before he committed to Texas A&M. Could have an effect on Tilmon.

Short answer: no. AAU is pretty disjointed, and there's certainly no one-stop database of teams and players (that I know of). It's hard because rosters change not only yer-to-year, but even tournament-to-tournament.

The best area AAU teams (with Illini recruits) all play on Nike's EYBL circuit.

- St Louis Eagles: Goodwin, Finke, Tilmon (if he was healthy)
- Meanstreets: Verge, Eastern, Gilyard
- Mac Irvin Fire: Da'Monte, Negron

Other targets are spread around various teams: Terrance Lewis is playing for Playground Elite (WI), Jericho Sims plays for D1 Minnesota, Theo John plays for Howard Pulley (MN).

And just to add to that Playground Elite (WI) plays in the NY2LA circuit, D1 Minnesota is in the Adidas Uprising circuit as is Javon Pickett of Ramey-Jets United and Adidas has atrocious stats on their site. About all you can get is final scores and top 10 scorers. I don't think we have any prospects on the Under Armour circuit regardless of what Joe Thompson seems to think.
It's complicated.

Saw all these kids this weekend in Indy.
Damonte Williams - only played two games this weekend and was very consistent in both. He is a scorer and is a treat to watch. He also dunked anytime he could. He looks mature for his age and is only going to get better. He is the vocal leader for the Fire. He may be the leader for them but he isn't a point guard never even looked to bring up the ball when Jordan Poole was in. I think he is a natural 2 with some point position qualities but we defiently got the goods with Damonte Willilams. Is the best player on the Fire also.

Christian Negron - was better today than yesterday I thought, rebounded better today also hit a nice 15 footer from the corner. He is a worker especially against the bigger kids at his position but at 6'6 and taking him at the 4 ehhh maybe. Rather take another wing. I like his motor and is really athletic.

Jordan Goodwin - best player I saw on any court any day. Did whatever he wanted. Great vision with passing and just went and got rebounds. Got to the hoop easy. Could make an impact in college as a senior in high school.

Tim Finke - I like his length and hit a couple threes. Works hard and is always hustling. I feel like if Tilmon was playing he would have open threes all day. Needs to add some muscle.

Trent Frazier - he didn't play the point guard position at all which I wanted to see him play the one since that's what he would play here. It was his first week on this team. Didn't have a huge impact but his stroke is very good and whenever he had his feet set he knocked it down.

Evan Gilyard - very thin and little. He didn't back down though and got after it defensively and hit the open three when feet were set. I like him but wouldn't offer quite yet. He also made the best pass I saw all weekend.

Nojel Eastern - wasn't as impressed as I thought I was gonna be but he is a worker and rebounded well. He is not a point guard. I repeat he is not a point guard.I say he will have a solid college career at the 3 position.

Alonzo Verge - electric sometimes gets out of control but he can go on a 10-0 run on his own. He is also very thin. I think he is a point guard but would be better at the 2. He also was always involved in the game cheering and stuff. I'm not sure about all the rumors and stuff be seemed very into the games.

If I had to rank them it would go
1. Goodwin
2. Damonte
3. Eastern
4. Verge
5. Finke
6. Frazier
7. Gilyard
8. Negron

Also, Charlie Moore was at the Event.
