Looking at the Grid...Do we all realize that by next year we will have at least the following:

6-2 TF/6-3 DW Upperclassmen guards with probably Miller at 6-3 as well. Robinson or Moore would fit well as add's.
6-5 AG/6-6 TJ Upperclassmen in system as well as 2 other 6-6 experienced wings also. Kasubke best option for backup imo here...
6-9 GB with 6-8 BBV as well on the wings and inside. Hylton would be really only viable option.
7-0 KC with 6-10 JH and possibly 6-10 BK? and now probably 7-0 Kalkbrenner...that will be a strong 3-4 inside players when all is said and don

I am starting to think BU does not like not having size....for a mobile system that is alot of height (Flying ILLINI type) and I am liking it...add 1-2 other guards to the picture then we are set for approx 2-4 years. If you look at the Grid, the 2022 year is very scarce so far, as it should be. The exception is by then ALL of our bigs will be experienced and strong in the B1G which you need regardless of system.

But, but, but the Trinity Pipeline... I guess it's a good thing we have Hamlin and have loaded up on the sit one play two guys ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So at this point for 2020 it really is Miller or bust.
Trinity "pipeline" is fine.

respect my decision™
This season can't start fast enough. We need to show this year's product on the floor.

Yes, but it will be too late for the kids signing during early period. Considering the vast majority of our recruits lately came way past the early signing period, maybe my point is moot.

It doesn't have anything to do Stanford.
Can you elaborate? I've talked to some friends who claim to have connections, and they said IL is still out front with him (as recently as last week). That's why I'm surprised by your comment. *shrug*

There should be no expectation of an explanation of a bald faced unsupported anonymous statement in an internet chatroom.

He does (compare well) but there are rumors he may go pro, albeit, this is the only article I found to support the contention

Karim Mane could skip college to pursue NBA dreams

From the article: The NBA allows players who reach their 19th birthday before the calendar year of the draft to receive automatic eligibility, which applies to Mane. He could also fall under the category of an international player as he has not resided or attended school in the United States.

The article I linked also talks about him considering the NBA.

Far better to know now, than right before the signing period.
This all the way. The less hat debacles we have the better.

But this just intensifies our flame out fall recruiting seasons and only makes my list of questions grow longer. Still only August, but yeesh, bring someone home BU.

We are talking here about teenagers, aren’t we ? Today, he loves Veronica. Tomorrow, he’ll love Betty. And in a few days time, he’ll love Jughead. He who laughs last . . .

With Giorgi and Kofi here as well as Jermaine and maybe Kouma, he may think it is a little to crowded. Actually should be attractive as he would be practicing and playing with really good players that will help him improve.

Agreed. However, requesting an explanation is not the same as expecting an explanation.

I don't know. illini0440 seems pretty well connected. I just wish he, or someone, could tell us why these recruitments seem to go south so often with this staff. Is it the coaching staff's temperament? Facilities? Politics? If it's politics, why do we seem to be on the bad end of so much of it? What does the staff make of these losses, and do they see a problem with their recruiting? Are they sticking to their methods or are they trying to adjust and react as these losses pile up?

The argument that there is a logjam of talent at certain positions just doesn't hold water. There's plenty of talent at lots of schools that doesn't seem to scare kids off.
